Like i'm really starving for it huhuhu it's been a long time since i read a good one. And I've been rereading ffs for months HAHHAHAHA

Anything will do! You can recommend based on the tags but there are just some ships (not on the tags) i don't read at all.

And i would just like to avoid smut/lemons 😶 but i guess you can recommend it too, i'll read it if i can.

I'm not that into AUs but if it's really intriguing or I'm really curious, I'll read it.

I wonder how Luffy would react to the real reason why Buggy says he hates Shanks. Because the reason that Buggy declared Shanks as his enemy is that, in Buggy's perspective, Shanks took his dream away and tossed it in the trash.

I don't think it would make him hate Shanks; Luffy knows Shanks. I think it would definitely make him a bit solemn, acknowledging how serious this was. I'd like to believe Luffy would then tell Buggy his thoughts, being his blunt and straightforward self, that would ultimately spark something within the clown.

Just a what-if scenario to imagine

Teen!Buggy, staring in horror: W…what…..

Gaban, Faking hurt: Yes, it was too quick and unfortunat, we didn’t see it coming.

Teen!Buggy, Staring at the ground: No….it can’t be….no….

Gaban: Oh but it’s true, Shanks is… well, No more.

Teen!Buggy, still in shock muttering: No…no it’s not..no no..no…nonono…

[just then loud familiar scream echoed into the empty sky as a wave of Haki filled the Oro Jackson causing the crew either to faint or fall to the ground. Followed the sound of loud thumping against the deck]

Roger, distant voice: Wait Boy!!!

A familiar distant voice: BUGGGYYYYYY!!!!!!!

Teen!Buggy: *Runs out of the room the Gaban pulled him in and followed the call*

Teen!Shanks, searches all the rooms: BUGGYY!! Where are you hiding him!!??

Roger, coming behind him: calmed down boy, He’s-

Teen!Shanks, Hysterical: SHUT UP!!!! Buggy is not dead!!!! YOU’RE LYING AND KEEPING HIM FROM ME!!!!!

Teen!Buggy: Shanks!

[Just then the boys locked eyes, both scanning each other as if making sure they weren’t hurt before Shanks threw himself and hugged Buggy tight and cried loudly, in return Buggy cried silently against his chest as he hugged him back]

[Later that night after Rayleigh made sure both boys are sleeping peacefully, still clinging to one another refusing to let go]

Rayleigh: Now, Can you tell me what were you thinking?

[Roger and Gaban, both kneeling down with their hands above their heads which had large bumps from Rayleigh’s punches]

Roger: W…we-

Rayleigh: Ah, excuse me, Asking that question applies that you actually had brains to begin with.

Gaban: We just wanted them to see that they love each other and don’t mean anything they say when they fight constantly.

Rayleigh: By telling them the other died alone and out of sight.

Gaban:…..the idea sounded better when we discussed it…..

Can't imagine Buggy would be a good patient, it would probably be very exhausting work looking after him and trying to cheer him up.

..Then the one time Shanks thinks he's alone enough to openly falter and worry, Buggy saw and, of course, interpreted it as regret at staying to take care of him.

At Marineford, Buggy showed empathy because he was trying to avoid the mess he got himself into, and because he related to that little snail who was scared and confused and didn't want to be there. He did back then, and even so more after he was named Emperor.
