Because when all of a sudden there's a lot of activity on one particular fic I WANNA KNOW WHY!!!!!

Zelda fandom, I am going to hold both your hands while I say this: it is literally no one’s business but yours if you hate Linked Universe.

“I’m tired of seeing LU on Tumblr!” Then block the Linked Universe tag. It’s not hard.

“I’m tired of seeing LU on AO3!” Then filter out the Linked Universe tag. It’s not hard.

“People tag things wrong!” Then they’re probably new. Are they supposed to just magically know everything? I promise you that next to no one is tagging maliciously. Educate them instead of demonizing them, and if it really pisses you off that much, block them. It’s not hard.

Sure, things slip through the cracks, but that’s life. Every fandom has popular AUs or ships that not everyone likes. Literally every fandom. You are not entitled to a fandom experience where you only see things you want to see 100% of the time. That’s wildly unrealistic. You can curate your experience, but only to a certain extent. Move on and let people enjoy things.

example: imagine everyone gets thrown through the portals, ending up at the same place, and while 8 of them are freaking out like "WHERE AM I. WHAT HAPPENED. WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE" the camera just pans over to four, solidly out cold on the ground

Summary: When a portal transports our heroes to the era of Echoes of Wisdom, the Chain gains a new Link! Everyone is keen to welcome Rift to the fold, especially Wild, who takes on the role of the new kid’s mentor. But as he settles in, Rift begins to realize that his adventure wasn’t quite like everyone else's: compared to the others, he barely did anything! Zelda was the hero of his tale, not Link. This realization leaves Rift feeling woefully inadequate, his self-esteem crumbling until it reaches a breaking point. Can Rift’s new brothers, particularly his mentor, help him pick up the pieces and convince him that he truly does belong?

Or: Wild gets a “cub” of his own, Warriors and Time are the best big brothers anyone could ask for, and Rift finds a family.
