Um, if it's not too much trouble, do you think you could go into a little detail about what your P3P book says about Ryoji when you have time? I...just really love him, and I ordered the book for the art, but I won't be able to understand the text. I'd love to know what it says about him if you feel like describing it (even though it will definitely make me cry, haha)

this is on pages 92-93 of the book where it explains his social link. this is his profile-

The transfer student, Ryoji, who appeared  in the protagonist’s class during the second semester, is a boy who flirts with anyone unconditionally. Even though he hits on the protagonist quite a few times as well, the expression he has when he looks at her is completely different than when he is looking at other girls. In his own words, the protagonist makes him feel nostalgic, like he has met her before. Without understanding it himself, Ryoji is filled with the emotions of strongly cherishing the protagonist, whilst holding back with the tears that always threaten to overflow. [t/n: in the game, ryoji mentions quite often that being with hamuko makes him feel like crying, but he doesn’t know why] However in his future, only a tragic ending awaits. In his limited time, mimicking a human’s appearance and inner emotions, Death falls in love for the last time.

And in a blurb on pg 93-

Ryoji’s smile beams quite often onto any number of subjects, but only in front of the protagonist does his smile hide a shadow. Beneath the shadow, is a face of a boy who is always near tears. As Death, he must tell them with his own lips the inevitable parting, knowing it is a forbidden relationship, Ryoji’s inner emotions are always in pain. The nakibokuro on his cheek, is a substitute for the him that can never cry.

[t/n- a nakibokuro is the name for the mole underneath one’s eye as in ryoji’s case. it is translated as a “tear mole” because its position resembles a tear.]

and a further note on his nakibokuro near the bottom of the page-

It is rumored that in their love life, people with nakibokuro are always fated to cry a river… is it true?
