I love this idea! I was wondering if there are other blogs/writers networks similar to this with other ships and other ratings? Like Adashi?

thank you! off the top of my head i can only think of other safe klance networks i.e. @ao3feed-safeklance and @klance-net (the latter has safe art too, but if you’re looking for fics you can go to their /library page).

i don’t know of a safe adashi fic blog but i love the idea of it––if anyone knows of one please let us know!

“Does anyone actually call you that?” Keith asked, followed by an ‘oomph’ as Lance elbowed him in the ribs.

“And this stick in the mud here is Keith, my—” Lance hesitated, glancing at Keith, who quirked an eyebrow at him. Simply calling Keith his friend after everything they’d been through together didn’t feel like enough. “Partner,” Lance settled on.

That sounded right.

Keith turns his body and brings his legs onto his bed, sitting criss cross with his shoulders hunched up near his ears. He wants to say something, and he can tell that Lance is waiting patiently for him to find the words, but he isn’t sure that it’s possible to form something eloquent. 

So, he says, “are you disappointed?” 

He doesn’t look at Lance when he speaks. He doesn’t know that he’d like what he would find on the other’s face. 

“Well, I’d rather not be glowing right now.” Lance responds.

Lance let out a shriek as he jerked the controls to the right. Keith had to grip the railing with both hands to prevent himself from being flung across the cabin as the ship narrowly avoided slamming into a Galra battleship.

“I thought you said you could fly this thing!” Keith snapped, staggering back into a standing position.

Lance turned back to scowl at him. “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but—"

“Mind that ship!”

Lance quickly yanked the controls to the left and Keith was pinned against the side of the cabin as the ship spun out of control.

it’s elementary, my dear

Summary:

On the eve of the coronation of the soon-to-be Prince Regent of Altea, in the dark and foggy streets on a rainy December night, two genius detectives receive two rather strange cases from two peculiar clients.

The first client is Keith Kogane, the Crown Prince and heir to the throne. His case concerns his abducted older brother King Takashi Shirogane.

The second client is Katie Holt, a rising prodigy and intuitive inventor who goes under the alias ‘Pidge Gunderson.’ Her case concerns her kidnapped father Professor Sam Holt and brother Matt Holt.

The detectives deduce that only the most feared and wicked criminal mastermind in all of Altea could be responsible for these crimes. With the help of a genius mechanical engineer, an eccentric police inspector, and a lovable dog with a blue collar, they must race against time to uncover the perpetrator’s motives and thwart his evil plans.

The pieces fall into place.

The kingdom is in danger.

The clock is ticking.

And the game is afoot.

Summary:

Lance had often watched his best friend trace over the brilliant orange sparrow tattoo on his arm and envied the soft, distant smile that crept over his friend’s face. Lance was happy for him, of course, but he couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy. He wanted someone to share his life with more than almost anything.

He used to imagine what it would be like to go on his first date with his soulmate, constructing elaborate plans and playing them out in his head.

Somehow, sitting in a beat-up red pickup truck in the middle of traffic while listening to outdated rock music next to a guy with a mullet of all things wasn’t exactly what Lance had in mind.

“It’s not a mullet,” Mullet Guy protested.

“Stop reading my mind!”

“Then stop thinking so loud!”

“Guys!” Hunk yelled from the top of the slope where he and Pidge were standing.

Panic flared in Lance’s chest as he realized there was no way he and Keith could make it up there before the ship exploded. He had to think fast.

“Get down!” he shouted up to Hunk and Pidge, and then he gripped tighter onto Keith’s arm. “Sorry, Keith,” he said.

Without giving a further warning, he shoved Keith down onto the rubble. Keith let out a small “Hey!” in protest, but he didn’t have time to question what was happening before Lance flung his own body across Keith’s, shielding him just as the ship behind them exploded.
