how to simulate a satin texture on your clothing

I’m sorry, this video hasn’t a audio, I don’t have a microphone and I’m not SOOOO confident in my English to get point of recording a how to >u< buttttt @magnolia-c, I hope you understand as well! This is a way I do my “satin” textures in blender! Hope you like ittt ♥ 

some config tips for you:

- render option in “Blender Render”

- in “Viewport Shading” choose “Material” or “Texture”

- in the “Materials” panel put these settings: select “Lambert” and check the box “Ramp” to activate the light and shadow slider, and thus be able to edit the lighting intensity in the “folds”

- The lights matter a LOT! I use the standard coming from the Sims 4 Studio for everything. 4 lamps arranged in 4 directions and one down for whatever, but that matters… I advise you to do the same!

- In the option to make the bake, configure in the way of the print, being able to vary the margin of 1 to 3 px of distance.- The moment you organize your uv map leave a safe distance between them so that the border doesn’t overlap another.

deelitefulsims made this discovery after many hours of wanting to tear her hair out by the roots. I was lucky enough to be on the phone with her this evening when she made this profound revelation ;) I then checked my settings and saw that my compression settings were on “production” which is why I couldn’t replicate her results on my computer. I’m not sure if “highest” would be even better, but it wouldn’t hurt, I don’t guess. 

So if you’re having pixelation issues, give this a try!

HELLO EVERYONE AND WELCOME TO SLAY BEAUTY’S MAKEUP TUTORIAL TO SHOW Y’ALL BITCHEZ HOW IT’S DONE :)

First u choose a pic that u like 

and here’s what I chose 

after that u use that pic on photoshop

then u crop that pic to the eyes!! (i’m creating an eyeshadow)

after that u choose the one part of the both eyes u like (just choose an eye lol) and paint the parts u don’t want with a white color 

so it’ll look something like this

save it then start GIMP

after that start a new layer and merge it down to the layer u started

then go to colors and select alpha

after that select the white color

and now export it to the photo u used before starting GIMP

now open it on photoshop!!

now open up a female template 

copy the eyeshadow u made using Ctrl+A+c then paste it on the female template

Now adjust the pic!!and what I like to to some parts I don’t like I erase them  to actually make the eyeshadow look better and more usable instead of looking ashy and ugly in game

now I use gaussian blur to make it look betta 

And now duplicate the layer and place it on the second eye!!

now merge them together to create on layer

now press the eyethingy on the female template to remove it and save it!!

now start s4s, and choose create cas standalone 

and a little Hack i like to do it that I choose an eyeliner for it to work on all skins!! i’m not sure if all creators do that but that’s a thing I discovered myself XD

now import ur eyeshadow 

Congratulations BITCH U MADE UR EYESHADOW!! and now u have to change the category to eyeshadow and apply to all!!

to creat more shades this is what u do!!

u go to photoshop > Image > Hue/Saturation and adjust choose ur colors gurl

save it and go back to s4s and repeat the steps!!

Now find ur eyeshadow easier click on import on the catalog thumbnail and choose a pick!! and save ur package!!

now start the game and this is what it’ll look like:

This is serving as an interim cc finds blog for now so my main doesn’t get too bogged down with reblogs. My previous cc finds side blog was taken down recently after I changed the theme. I saw someone mention something similar happened to them a couple months ago, but I didn’t think much of it since the blog had been established for awhile and I’d changed the theme before. Essential Mods

I can’t play the game without these! Will periodically update this list. Basemental Drugs & Gangs - Adult expansion pack like mods to add a bit of R-rated reality to your game, including drug use, cannabis cultivation, violence, gangs, alcohol use, and more.

Better Exceptions by TwistedMexi - A helpful and low-maintenance tool to detect what faulty mods/CC are causing you issues! I cannot praise this mod enough.

The Red Shelf by Amoebae - An OMSP shelf. This shelf adds extra slots for clutter.

Severinka’s OMSP - An OMSP stand set that allows you to add clutter to a variety of surfaces.

Wicked Whims - An 18+ mod that allows for nudity, sex, STIs, abortion care, strip clubs (this feature requires Get To Work), and more!

Andrew’s Pose Player - Allows you to use pose packs to position your Sims in many creative poses! Make your sims photos more interesting with this mod!

Teleporter - Allows you to teleport sims, summon sims, and position sims for poses. Necessary for many poses to work.

Live Mode & Tab Mode Camera Mods - Take your photos to the next level with this mod, which allows for lower level photos, among othter features.

Just a quick mini tutorial on how to remove the dynamic shadows in TS4. I am all for dynamic shadows, but in my opinion, they have been poorly executed in TS4 so I found a way to turn them off for myself. I have been asked recently how I do it by @zhutra and @zellybeanie which reminded me that I was planning on writing up a tutorial for it. 

Generally, dynamic shadows are not enabled in the low light settings, same with a lot of other effects that I wanted left on. This method allows you to just turn off SSAO without a hit to lighting quality like sun shadows. Do note, with every patch or repair game, this needs to be carried out again as the sgr file reverts back to its default state.

for icons: i used cute pics that i found online and used a website to convert them into ico files. a few i edited beforehand.

Wearable Maxis Feet by simminglena are a MAJOR lifesaver for everyone like me, who can't live without feet replacements, but loves using socks without shoes in outfits for sleep/home.

you just put on maxis feet like shoes in any outfit that needs them, and your socks become nice and cute. no more weird toed socks! can't recommend this mod enough.

(they work with all feet replacements, not just necrodog's, i have different ones, and they're perfectly compatible and seamless)

[Reshade] Changing CAS BG Colors w/ Edited Chromakey.fx

I hope this preview is intriguing enough :D Since all this is pretty new, I'll just include colors that I've released for my CAS BGs so far. A more detailed info coming in the future, and of course, more color variations!

// Requirements

Reshade: any version should work fine (preferably newer) as long as you have the full add-on support installed, which will be used by 2 things:

ShaderToggler: allows you to hide the CAS background mesh & mirrors so that you can use this shader without it cutting into those.

REST: clears UI of any reshade shaders & prevents certain shaders from affecting alpha textures. If you want the shader to work like a proper BG, this will be necessary.

⚠️ If you had installed these 2 add-ons in the past, I've updated both posts so you'll need to reinstall the whole thing. Fixed crashing issue in REST & added toggle groups to hide CAS BG & mirrors in ShaderToggler.

// How to install

Unlike regular CAS backgrounds, you'll be installing this the same way as you would with Reshade shaders. And just like those, you can do all the things below while the game is running!

Go to reshade-shaders > Shaders > make a custom folder. This will be a place where you can put this (and future) Chromakey shaders together.

In the Reshade panel, add the newly created folder under the Effect search paths so that it can recognize its contents. I've put mine in "_Nondefault"

DL the edited Chromakey.fx shader and save it in the custom folder.

Reload your Reshade panel. Option should now show up in your shader list!

Use in CAS

Simply change the color settings to whichever color you'd like. For this shader the options are rather limited, but with how editable this file is, it can open up to much more options!

// For alpha users

Make sure you have the REST add-on and my settings installed . Otherwise, the shader will just cut through the mesh.
