You know what would give me endless hope and joy?? If Buck and Eddie have a moment at the madney wedding that is clearly one of longing. I don’t want anything to happen, but I want a moment that tells us they could happen in the future. You know, that moment in a classic will-they-won’t-they trope where the audience starts to realize that they really might, someday. It’s not a guarantee, but it’s the most solid maybe so far. That kind of moment.

Buddie right now wouldn’t make sense, but give us a glimpse of a possibility, show us the writers are considering it.

- in Brooklyn 99, when Jake thinks Amy is asking him to dance, but then she watches him dance with that LOOK on her face

- in NCIS when Tony and Ziva dance in Berlin

- in New Girl, when the mug episode told us Nick and Jess actually might have a chance of getting back together
