I recently finished playing Disco Elysium. I don't know why I put off getting to know this masterpiece for so long… and it seems I came to the community too late. I can't convey my impressions after the ending and I can't express my feelings after the news of the final collapse of the Za/um studio… as it often happens, circumstances do not allow a real activist and genius to truly reveal his world and the ideas that he wants to convey to us… it's very sad.. and although the game can be considered finished, I am haunted by the rather open ending.. I understand that in principle everything will be fine according to the plot (I'm talking about the ending where we don't screw up and invite Kim to our team) we will just go to the police station, and then we will investigate both the situation in Martinez and other cases…… maybe this is for the best, because there was also a possibility that further sequels would be significantly inferior to the original, as always happens if a work gains incredible popularity… connection to third party development, the influence of the publisher/shareholders, human greed and stupidity could affect the final product (as the situation with the shares showed us)…maybe it's good that we will only have Disco Elysium and its "unshakable" greatness…we can guess and invent images of "this" continuation…enjoy the original and look for more and more new ideas and meanings in it…and no one will take this away from us no matter what.
