Answer all these questions and you should have a fully-developed character for your audience to connect with. A strong character can carry a weak plot; but a strong plot can’t carry weak characters

It bothers me that a lot of people aren’t grasping the reality of Deez Nuts.
All giggles aside, this is showing what a joke our political system has become. A 15 year old can register as a presidential candidate. According to him, the paperwork didn’t even ask for an age. We need to set a higher bar for who we accept into the presidential race, a bar higher than Deez Nuts. So yes, Deez Nuts is a joke, he can’t really win for a myriad of reasons, but we as America should never forget Deez Nuts, to remind us of what a clusterfuck our political system can be.

Felix didn’t exactly want to leave his cabin anymore.
He peaked out of the door and jumped back immediately, deciding he was better off staying right where he was, even if he had to deal with the nagging from his friends. There was snow on the ground. Snow. He hadn’t gotten the chance to see snow when he lived in Italy, so this was a very new concept for him. And he was a child of Apollo. Did they really expect him to step outside and train in this? He was freezing! He hadn’t even dared to set a toe outside and he was already shivering, goosebumps prickling his arms and legs. There was no way anyone would be getting him outside.
He didn’t need to train, anyway. He was better off staying in the cabin or heading off to the infirmary. He wasn’t very good at archery and training wouldn’t help him at all. He seemed to get worse the more he kept trying, so he had almost completely abandoned it now. His siblings were exceptionally gifted at archery, of course, and Apollo was probably proud of them. But Felix was awful at it. While his siblings had taken a natural talent to it and actually wanted to try, he could hardly hold his bow right. It slipped out of his hands, or his arrows zipped past the target and ended up hitting someone. Of course, they never seriously injured anyone, and he was a decent healer, but it still earned him a reputation as the worst archer. He was an embarrassment!
He rubbed his arms, shivering. “It’s no use going out,” he mumbled to himself.
Yesterday had been worse than the time he nearly hit Chiron with an arrow.
He had only recently discovered that he could bend sunlight. It wasn’t exactly a common trait among his siblings and he was thankful for that. For once, he stood out and he was good at something. So he decided to show off.
His friend, Ele, bugged him until he tried bending the light from the campfire. He hadn’t tried with fire light, only used to sunlight, so this was new territory for him. Still, he was determined to try. And maybe it would make up for the fact that he was still awful at archery.
He tried to concentrate, pulling the threads of light from the flickering fire and bending them in ways that amused his friends. But it was hard to keep his mind on the light of the fire when his friends kept talking loudly and pushing him to do more. He got frustrated too easily and twirled the light. It hit his wrist and he fell back, clutching his arm that was now an angry red color. He’d burned himself by being so careless and getting too distracted. And not only that. He set his own CHB shirt on fire.
Felix scrambled to get up, frantically trying to get his shirt off. It didn’t help that his movements only made the fire grow, the other demigods watching in shock and only Ele actually trying to help. He pulled off his shirt, stomping out the flames. Once they were out, his shirt singed and smoking, he looked back at his friends, panting.
It had taken him a few minutes to realize their looks of confusion and disgust were at his chest. His chest.
“Fuck,” He’d run toward his cabin, covering his chest in shame. He had a binder, of course, but he was still ashamed. And the looks of disgust on some of their faces made him feel incredibly insecure, slamming the cabin door behind him and throwing himself onto his bed.
Ele had stood there in shock as he’d ran. No one had known, not even his siblings. Apollo definitely knew. He was Felix’s father.
No one talked to him after that. He hadn’t left the cabin, too embarrassed and ashamed to leave his bed. He didn’t even show up to dinner. He stayed there, blaming himself for his own foolishness.
And maybe he could’ve handled it better. He could’ve gone out and acted like nothing had happened, fighting the cold of the snow and all his insecurities, but he was ashamed.
He sighed, rubbing at his arms again. He’d just stay inside. He’d wait.
