Sam being constantly guilted throughout the show is so gut wrenching because he is doing everything he can to be seen as good to do good but no its always misread.

The whole thing w Gordon hating Sam for being devil spawn was so agonising because he genuinely starts to doubt himself he starts to doubt his own morals because everyone hes close to keeps whispering about how evil he can be in his ear. AND DEAN BEING AFRAID OF HIM MAKES THIS EVEN WORSE.

Sam definitely cried or cries himself to sleep at nighy wishing he was normal. The fact that he PRAYS AND THAT THE GOD HE PRAYS TO HATES HIM IS SO UPSETTING. Sam your catholic guilt is too big theyre going to kill you Sam Winchester.

His guilt is so immense i know he feels guilty for being alive. I know he stays up at night womdering what his life couldve been if he stayed with jessica. I cant imagine how lonely sam feels when he sees cas, dean and bobby interact. Cas and Dean have a special connection, Bobby sees Dean as his son theyre normal they dont have to deal with demon blood they dont have to be reminded everyday that theyre part monster.

I fear he envies Dean for that. That the angels trust him even though hes never prayed to them. That people worry and care for his wellbeing. Sam not really hes strong and can handle himself unless jes without dean. (Theyre each other saneness). Its so heartbreaking.

Fun fact by the way for all my non polish followers Sam in polish means hes alone and Samy means theyre alone. Polish Sam angst potential 😋🥰😍. His mother inadvertently calling Sam lonely, she knew his life would be a difficult one even if she hoped it wouldnt.

Okay dean calling sam a monster fucker is soooo unfair when he slept w an angel. Like God hes so unnecessarily cruel to Sam ab the people he sleeps with. Like okay canon monsterfucker sam but bringing MADDY?? Into the conversation when he KNEW that, that specific situation was different and how it affected sam.

Hell made him so so mean. Its sometimes si hard to like dean as a sam lover but i understand why he says what he does. I think. God season 4 is tough but lots of freaky sam so i appreciate that.

Before the Dean Defenders come at me know that I love him and that hes very dear to me and I understand where a lot of his words and actions come from and also keep in mind im only on s4!

With that out of the way, Dean is an asshole. That is the entire point of his character. He was taught by John Winchester that being kind in a cruel world doesnt get you anything. Hes afraid of having long term relationships whether platonic or romantic. Hes actively pushing people away from himself so that they dont get hurt. This also includes Sam. Hes cruel and mean to Sam so that he hates him enough to let him go. Hes suicidal and doesn't want Sam to bring him back (again).

In his teens we see that Dean doesnt bother making friends because he knows its fruitless since theyre going to move away again. Its not that he doesnt care hes just conditioned to not care. Hes so detached that he fills his need for touch in hook ups and alcohol which is why Cas is so important to Deans whole arc.

Deans an ass, hes violent, hes cruel and he bites. He doesnt want to but he doesnt know a world where he doesnt feel like he has to. Hes also very much imbedded in his own mind that he fears he cannot change who he is now. In his biggest dream (djin episode) he dreamt he wasnt close to Sam and that he wasnt a hunter. Hes still an asshole. Dean doesnt think he can be anything other than that.

This also makes me think he would not be a good dad, unless he got over all his issues (which would take longer than Sam since we've seen Sam make active choices to get better such as leaving home and his asshole dad)

And this isnt even considering his anger issues! But i love all this about Dean, hes not honest, hes a hypocritical ass who is mean to those he cares about to protect them from himself and i love every bit of it.

Its so hard to be a Sam fan when the writers constantly punish him with unnecessary SA scenes. Like WHYYY do they do that. (Because male sa was funny at the time 😒)
