i don't know if theres an overlap between the alien stage fandom and the next to normal fandom, but here to say that after thinking about Gabe a lot i realized him and Luka are so. so similar in nature

they both work as haunting forces and a reminder of grief to the people they interact with, being both antagonistic while not having an inherently evil nature, altering between that demeanor (the pictures above) and a more childlike demeanor, (the pictures below) still grieving and longing for the people they hold dear

(which is more nuanced in Gabe's potrayal, considering he's everything that goes between a spirit, delusion, and personification of grief but for the sake of this comparison take it as it is)

its also very fun to me considering how Luka is supposed to be something perfect, and how he mimics the dead loved ones of the other characters in order to have a hold over them

(he is what you want him to be, he is your worst fear, you'll find it in him)

but this comparison would make a lot more sense to someone who's familiar with both medias, which i hope someone is, but this is a funny little thing in my mind palace at least.

taking this as an opportunity to tag the original, which i think more ppl should see!! i love the silly dancing version above, but i am so deeply in love with this music alongside these already lovely visuals. It's such a beautiful track that has not left my mind since... genuinely rewired my brain chemistry for a while with how heavenly it is..
