50 Years of JAWS – and One Very Stubborn Mayor
Released on June 20, 1975, Jaws didn’t just make us afraid to go in the water, it made cinematic history. For me, it sparked a lifelong fascination with sharks... and anchor-print jackets.
To celebrate the film that bit its way into my childhood (and never let go), I had to honor the most infamous beachside bureaucrat of all time: Mayor Larry Vaughn. This dragon’s rocking the blazer, the tie, and of course the anchors. The billboard behind him? Straight outta Amity Island, complete with panic in progress.
Jaws was suspense, storytelling, and shark terror done right. And today, we tip our hat (or horn?) to the film that made us all look twice before dipping a toe in the ocean.
Happy 50th, Jaws. You’re gonna need a bigger legacy.

The hoard is getting crowded… and you know what that means!
It’s time to clear some space for new dragons, which means a few of the older beasts are looking for their forever lairs.
If you’ve had your eye on a piece, now’s the time to claim it. Take a wander through SanguediDrago.com, then shoot me a message—whether you’ve got questions, want to bundle a few, or just want to talk dragon lore. I’m always down for a chat.
And just to sweeten the deal? Every order placed during the clear-out will come with a surprise bonus from the vault—think keychains, trays, or other goodies straight from the studio stash. No codes, no gimmicks. Just a little thank-you from me (and the dragons).
Let’s make room for what’s next.

It’s Friday the 13th, so I figured… why wait?
Tommy Jarvis has always been one of my favorite survivors. Not just because he lived—but because he came back. Again and again. This piece captures the moment he finally stopped running.
“I’m Gonna See He Gets There” is live on the blog now. Chains, Crystal Lake, and closure.

She’s locked up for your safety, not hers.
This haunted little dragon is my tribute to the real Annabelle doll, the infamous artifact housed in the Warrens’ Occult Museum. Safely sealed behind her case (just like the original), this piece blends unsettling charm with a touch of vintage dread.
She’s already found a new home... but don’t worry—there’s always another nightmare in the works.
Inspired by the real Annabelle One-of-a-kind: Haunted. Hexed. Huggably cursed. Already spoken for.

I’m working on a new blog post & want to feature YOU!
If you’ve adopted one of my dragons, I’d love to see where they’ve landed in the wild; your shelves, workspaces or wherever they’ve made themselves at home.
Snap a pic, tag or DM & let me know how you’d like to be credited in the blog (name, handle, secret dragon title, etc.). I’ll be including shoutouts in the post!
Let’s see those glorious beasties out in the world.

Sinister Sunday: Sneak Peek!
The resin hedge maze is cast, the dragons are mid-transformation, and the details are creeping into place. From a scorched-up slasher to a steampunk stunner, every dragon is bursting with character. The Shining? Check. Burned Chucky? Absolutely. And one elegant commission ready to bring a little steam-powered chaos.
Final touches are coming soon—because nightmares and nostalgia both look better with scales.

Tommy thought it was over… but some legends refuse to stay buried.
This one-of-a-kind resin piece captures the eerie calm of Crystal Lake moments before chaos resurfaces. Featuring our wide-eyed dragon tribute to Tommy Jarvis, this diorama reimagines the haunting final scene from Friday the 13th Part VI complete with a chained stone, murky waters, and a not-so-peaceful lakebed.
Welcome back to Camp Blood.

Looks like the Easter Bunny had a little help this year from our hatchlings! These dragon eggs may be colorful, but don’t be fooled, they’re packed with mischief, magic, and maybe a little marshmallow. Happy Easter from all of us at Sangue Di Drago!

Something wicked just floated its way out of the studio…
This brand new custom piece was a blast (and a little spooky) to bring to life. Inspired by one of horror’s most unforgettable scenes, this diorama captures that split second when a paper boat vanished, a yellow rain boot was left behind, and a pair of chilling blue eyes stared back from the darkness.
Every little detail in this piece was crafted to recreate that eerie, iconic moment—from the cracked pavement and sewer grime to the storm drain hiding something you definitely don’t want to meet. And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a mischievous, creepy-cute dragon holding a red balloon… because around here, even nightmares come with scales.
This one’s already spoken for, but you know me—there’s always something creepy and chaotic brewing behind the scenes.

Ever feel like you don’t belong, even when you’re doing the thing you love? I wrote a new blog post about the imposter syndrome that follows me to every show—the feeling of being the odd one out in a world of amazing artists. If you've ever felt the same, this one’s for you.

Some pieces aren’t just dragons—they’re made to turn heads.
When I signed up for the Hotties & Hellions show, I knew I wanted to create something exclusive. Something no one would see coming. The show itself is all about bold energy, live entertainment, and a little bit of chaos—so what better way to match that vibe than with a lava queen dragon, forged in fire and ready to raise hell?
That’s how Inferna was born.
A Dragon Fit for the Fire
The idea behind Inferna was simple: make a showstopper. But the execution? That took a little creative fire of its own. I wanted her to feel like she’d crawled straight out of a volcanic eruption—molten, glowing, and powerful.
To get the lava effect right, I dove headfirst into the world of miniature painting, pulling techniques from the gaming universe to build layer after layer of heat and shadow. I spent hours watching tutorials, learning how to blend the brightest yellows, oranges, and reds into deep blacks without losing that signature glow effect. Even the base became part of her story—rivers of lava trailing around her feet, glowing cracks running through the ground.
Inferna’s paintwork is a full-on lava flow from top to tail—fiery veins, darkened edges, and glowing embers tucked into every crevice. She’s not just a dragon. She’s the embodiment of heat and hellion energy.
A One-of-a-Kind Creation
Inferna isn’t part of an ongoing series. She’s not one of the Chaos Dragons or part of any future run. She was built specifically for Hotties & Hellions—a true one-of-a-kind exclusive crafted just for this event.
There’s something special about making a piece that exists for one night, one show, one chance to meet the person it was meant for. No repeats. No copies. Just one fiery queen, ready to rule the night.
Final Thoughts
Inferna was created to match the energy of Hotties & Hellions—bold, fierce, and a little bit dangerous. She’s a reminder that sometimes, you need to bring the heat and make something unforgettable.
If you want to meet her in person, she’ll be making her debut exclusively at Hotties & Hellions on April 5th.
Come by, meet Inferna, and check out the full dragon hoard—because this one won’t be available anywhere else.
Bringing pop culture to life—one dragon at a time… even the hellions need a queen.

Getting back to reality now. I have a show coming up that I NEED to be ready before.
Time to work on bases. What was supposed to be a simple base has turned into a base with lighting, resin pieces, epoxy clay work, a new base technique…once it all sets I need to start painting.
Maybe someday I’ll learn the meaning of simplicity.

A Decade of Custom Creations!
Ten years ago, I took my first step into the world of custom art with a Vermont Teddy Bear transformation—turning it into a grinning, chaos-loving Joker Bear. It was my first dive into bringing pop culture to life in a unique way, and looking back, it’s wild to see how far I’ve come!
From that mischievous little bear to the dragons I create today, every piece has been part of the journey. Who knew a bit of paint and creativity would lead to all this?
Have you ever customized something just for fun? Drop a comment—I’d love to hear about it!

Something is stirring in the flames… Inferna is coming.
Born from molten chaos and unrelenting heat, this exclusive dragon will make her debut at Hotties & Hellions. But beware—this fire doesn’t just burn, it consumes.

Starting work on the exclusive piece for Hotties & Hellions. First test dragon. Some pluses and some minuses. But you can always tell a good day buy the paint on my thumb.
