No Kings Protests was a beautiful show of solidarity but remember that it is not over.

The moment we go quiet they'll see that as obedience and continue the tyranny.

Regimes only thrive in silence. We must continue to resist loudly until the regime falls.

I am not really great at hope core but I do want to give you hope.

There are recounts and a lawsuit into tampered voting machines in New Jersey. That will spread.

The Democrats are finally calling the regime out for what it is. A dictatorship led by a mad king.

Less than 5% (under 10,000 out of 200,000) of what he expected for his birthday bash showed up, but (as of the current count) over 10 million stood together on US soil to oppose him

The tide is shifting, and we will not be the ones to drown.

Those of you able to protest tomorrow (Saturday the 14th) Keep in mind what I already said but I would also like to add:

The only flag you should be bringing is the American flag. It needs to be clear that these are USA residents they are firing on. The government is terrorizing their own people for something protected under the constitution. The world is watching. Let them see the reality of what us happening.

Wear tight knit clothes and some form of face covering. It will help a lot against pepper spray and pepper balls.

Hide any protective gear (see Baseball catcher) under clothes to look like less of a target.

Protect your eyes. A helmet would be great but eye protection is key. A rubber bullet to the face can lose your eye.

Do not bring children. Thing have the potential to get very terrible out there.

If you see someone trying to instigate a Riot from within your ranks, yourself and the people around you need to move away from them and be very vocally clear that you are not with them. They're going to try to make it seem like you're violent so they have a better excuse to escalate their own violence.

Cover all identifying marks and your hair color if it's not natural.

If you are detained the only thing you need to do or say is to ask for a lawyer. Any time your mouth opens it better just be the word "Lawyer". They're detaining you illegally for using your constitutional rights.

Remember the names and faces of the officers that are supporting this regime. Because it is a regime. And much like in the Nuremberg Trials, there will be justice when this is over, or the USA will never be allowed to stand with the rest of the world again, and "I was just following orders" will still not be a legal excuse.

Pack some first aid if you can, extra water (bring gallon jugs if you can, both for tear gas canister diffusion but also to stay hydrated in the heat) and extra snacks. Passing out from dehydration or low blood sugar won't help anyone, especially yourself.

The only reason tyranny was able to rise back then is because the people were not more numerous than the army and the nazis. We are now though. This time, we outnumber the evil and as long as we refuse to roll over and be silent, we will win.

(Editing to add: Those who can't protest and feel hopeless or useless, remember that spreading information to keep people informed and safe IS important. Documenting what is happening and documenting what the regime and it's supporters are saying and doing IS important. They're going to try to twist reality to get out being served justice when the regime falls. Your evidence will be important to ensure they can not. Just because you can't be in the masses in the streets does not mean you aren't a key part in resisting the fascist takeover.)

I wanted to make a happy pride post, but I can't imagine doing so right now. What's happening right now in the USA is a terrifying repeat of one of the darkest times in history, and I know it feels so hopeless right now. My heart is shattered, and my soul is drained every day.

Those of you who can protest, remember that water neutralizes tear gas, a traffic cone over a tear gas canister and water down the hole in the top can make a world of difference. Eye protection is also key. Sporting equipment can provide more cover than you think against rubber bullets and bean bags. Think Baseball catcher meets roller derby. Always have emergency numbers written on your skin so you'll always be able to make contact no matter what. Keep your blood sugar up and stay hydrated. Watch out for those who need more help than you do.

(Editing to add: If you have an American flag, fly it, hold it prominently, drape yourself in it until you look like a 4th of July display. Let it be very clear that the USA is waging war on its own people. Make them look you in the eyes for what you are, and let them know that the world knows they are doing this to their own people. There will be no spinning this in the eyes of the world. We are Americans.)

If you are a person serving in a branch of military, remember that your oath is to a constitution, not a president. You uphold that, not the whims of a dictator. Stand beside the people, not against them. Defend against the new Gestapo, do not become them.
