Don’t let money or tools be the center of your craft.
Don’t wait for the metaphorical planets to align.
Do what you want to or need to do with what you have. Use the three year old candle, the empty jar of yogurt and the half dead potted plant.
Don’t be afraid to do your Craft even if you can’t have 10 tarot decks and four different types of rose quarz. Cleansed and blessed bottle water can be just as effective as rain or river water.
We all want beautiful altars and a dozen self grown herbs for our spells. The problem is, not all of us can have that. And that’s OK.
You are the center of your magic. What you decide is the most important thing. You decide if the purple craft glitter represents amethyst or not. You put the magic in the water or the cards or the stone.
Without you there would be no magic.
So please remember, having a lot of different tools is great. But the most important one, the one that makes everything possible in the first place, is you.
(not my original post, found this on facebook and would like to share with you all)

Advice for Learning Astrology
People are always asking me for a good source to learn astrology from, and I can't ever give a great answer for that, cuz I didn't learn from any single source myself. Most of my knowledge of astrology has just been an accumulation of informatiom from countless sources over several years. There is no one source I would ultimately recommend, cuz a lot of it is just simple pattern recognition compared against real people within my own life. My clients ask this a lot but the advice I give for learning the basics of astrology isn't rooted in sources but rather a method. It's easy to learn astrology in "chunks". Each "chunk" adds onto what you already know, and as long as you aren't working under false assumptioms, learning more "chunks" will never conflict with what you've already learned. Astrology looks daunting but its really simple if you learn it in this order:
1 The Elements
2 The Modalities
3 The Signs (including the mythologies and the metaphysical archetypes associated with them)
4 The Planets (including the mythologies and the metaphysical archetypes associated with them)
>>> by here, astrology becomes super easy to know and any learning curve should've leveled out by now
5 The Houses
6 Misc placements (such as the nodes, ASC and DSC, metaphysical placements like Lilith, and less significant things like astroids and smaller planets, etc. There are so many of these little things tho, so feel free to come back to this step. You will time and time again, there is just so much extra stuff here. Don't get overwhelmed!)
7 Decans (this relates back to the signs, but it's a tad bit more advanced. It's also commonly ignored and i think that's a damn shame cuz its a very valuable concept for interpretating astrology. Cusps are fake, and only used by idiots who don't understand basic math. Decans replace cusping with a much more efficient and actually accurate system)
8 Aspects (arguably the most important key for reading a chart, but requires a confident understanding of the previous "chunks")
>>> by here, you should be very confident with astrology, being able to read a chart and interpret the highlights of it within minutes. Detailed interpretations will take longer but shouldn't be daunting
9 Application (moving past the psychological interpretations of astrology and beginning to apply them to events, objects, locations, and divinatory purposes)
10 Other Charts (learning to read other charts, such as dragonic charts, synastry charts, esoteric charts, etc. This stuff typically reads the same mechanically but are cast via specific methods and have alternative interpretations and purposes)
As for sources to learn this stuff? Just start with Google and read articles from different sources. Compare conflicting info yourself. There is no one ultimate source, so you really are studying and digging around yourself.
If you really need one place to start tho, id recommend "the only astrology book you'll ever need" by Joanne Martine Woolfolk. It is by no means the only book you'll ever need, but it's a good start imo
Id also recommend using astro.com to generate and store charts. A lot of people use Cosigns and Time Passages (both apps) and they're good but lacking imo. Cosigns is good for casual astrology fans tho, a lot of my friends use it. But they still ask me for interpretations and readings so its not a good substitute for personal knowledge. Personally I prefer Time Passages but it has a paywall for the full features, and has no cloud saving.

🍂Mabon🍁
Tumblr media
We’re so close to the autumn equinox! I thought I’d make a post about it especially for all the baby witches who are following me. 🧡
What’s mabon?!? In the wheel of the year, it’s a holiday to celebrate the autumn equinox, harvest and abundance. It is observed by many modern witches and pagans. At this time most crops are being harvested, food is being storaged for the cold winter and days are getting darker.
🍎 Simbolysm: Apples, autumn flowers, candles, corn, grapes, harvest symobls in general, leaves, nuts, pumpkins, wine.
🧡 Colors: Brown, indigo, orange, red, yellow.
🔮 Tarot cards: Judgement and the world.
🥖 Foods: apples, berries, bread, carrots, dried fruits, grapes, nuts, onions, potatoes, pies, pumpkin, soup, wine.
💎 Crystals: Amber, clear quartz, diamond, gold.
✨ Spells: Balance, blessing, divination, harmony, harvest, prosperity, protection, security, self confidence.
🍁 Activities: Bake a pumpkin pie, collect fallen leaves, decorate your altar, decorate your home, donate to charity, eat seasonal foods and vegetables, go for a walk in the forest, light an orange, red or yellow candle, meditate, picking apples, spend time outside, watch the birds and other small animals and appreciate nature.

Witches. Place magic all around you. Carry a notebook, jot down all the feathers you see as you walk to work. Carry acorns from the oak tree nearest your house and scatter them in the new places you visit. Say hello to the squirrels around you. Pick up rocks that catch your face and place them down somewhere new; they probably get as restless as we do. Find a lucky number and stir your coffee exactly that long every time. Press leaves and sew them into cloth to hang by your window. Paint eyeliner sigils under your clothes. Add rainwater to your tea kettle before you put it on to boil. Burn your candles, your insecurities, your nail clippings, your fears. Sit in the forgotten grassy spots tucked beside graveyards and roadways and the edges around parks.
You exist in a world of wonder. You exist in the place of magic. Your actions are put forth into the world, and you have every right to wear the scorn others throw at you like a first-place medal.

🌻 ALL ABOUT LAMMAS & HOW TO CELEBRATE 🌻
Blessed Lammas! In the video below I share all about the traditions & origins of this Wiccan holiday. I also review various ways you can celebrate as well.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT LAMMAS
It falls on August 1 or 2
Lammas is one of the four “Greater Sabbats,” (Imbolc, Beltane, Lammas and Samhain) making it one of the most important days on the Wiccan Wheel of the Year.
Another name for Lammas is Lughnasadh, after the ancient Celtic festival celebrated on this date which honors the god Lugh, who is associated with the Sun.
It marks the beginning of the harvest season when the first hints of Autumn are perceptible.
During Lammas we give thanks for the abundance of the past growing season and look forward to the remaining weeks of light and warmth.
Wiccan mythology holds that the God’s power begins to wane at this time, as the days grow shorter and the crops are ready to be cut down. In some traditions, the Sun God actually infuses the grain with his power, and so is sacrificed, in a sense, when the grain is harvested.
Bread-making is a common way to mark the holiday.  People also might make a corn dolly from straw for use in ritual and magic.
You can decorate your altar with the colors of summer and fall (yellow, orange, red, green and brown) and use harvest imagery like scythes and baskets and, of course, loaves of bread.
