Hi!! I’ve been taking a break from social media! I’m back to share more astrology wiz with everyone.
But before I even get into anything, I’m gonna add some books and resources that have shaped my philosophy as an astrologer (and hopefully I can pin this to the top of my page because I’ve been getting so many messages in my absence about where I’ve learned my doctrine)
Tumblr media
1. Hellenistic astrology: The study of fate and fortune” by chris Brennan. This book will take you on a historical dive within astrology. You will learn some very useful and yet obscure ancient astrology techniques that kinda temporarily got shoved into oblivion by pop astrology.
2. On the heavenly spheres by Helena Avalar. Reading this book is what really convinced me to throw modern astrology out the window and helped me to see how “not helpful” it was. You will see how much pop astrology kind of alleviates the truth. Only get this book if you’re interested in why I have such a distain for some very questionable mainstream modern astrology information.
3. Astrology and the authentic self by Demetria George. I wanna say that this book was the very first one I read and it doesn’t prioritize the meanings of the signs. When you first get into traditional astrology you’re gonna think it’s so boring because you quickly realize that the signs get their meanings from the planets and not just from themselves. You’ll read things like “Aquarius: enemy of the sun, preferred domicile of saturn” etc. Something to take into consideration is also the amount of daylight and nighttime and that goes on during that signs time of the year, Hellenistic astrologers as I know now take meanings from that as well.
4. Ancient astrology in Theory and Practice: a manual l of traditional techniques. This book is volume one and 2.
5. The house, temples of the sky by Deborah houlding. I wanna say that this woman is my TEACHER and I LOVE this book because this book will introduce you to an ancient perspective of the houses, the very first interpretation of the houses. This book does NOT associate any of the signs with the houses as none of the ancient astrologers did and especially not the valens.
6. The astrology podcast. Go to to YouTube and search up “the astrology podcast planets” and just start writing things down. You can also type in “3 misconceptions of (insert any sign)” and Adam elenbaas will pop up, he is a certified Hellenistic astrology so prepare to learn things about your sign you never knew.
6. The most expensive resource would be to go to astrology school which is 1300$ dollars at nightlightastrology.com and is a whole course. After you get the certificate you can call yourself a “certified Hellenistic astrologer.” if this is your passion and something you wanna be doing in the long term I highly recommend.
Tumblr media
I wanna close this post out by saying that Hellenistic astrology is the oldest form of horoscopic astrology, it is the source, the OG and it is where everything we know about astrology today came from. Anything that was taken and misconstrued LITERALLY came from Hellenistic astrology.
Hope this helps xx

Just a friendly reminder to not forget this lunar eclipse, full moon in Libra ♎ while in the season of Aries ♈ ...
Do not forget to do away with what no longer serves you, relationships that no longer serve you, and beliefs or thoughts that are detrimental to your spiritual journey.
Don't forget to be grateful and appreciative of all the gifts the Universe, God, your creator has given you and will continue to give to you. Focus less on manifesting as we are approaching Mercury Retrograde, but rather take the time for self care and self love, reflection and introspection, appreciation, and being mindful of fairness, beauty, your outer and inner relationships, and love.
One tool I find essential in finding out what I need to be additionally focusing on while in a transit is the Astro Seek Transit Calculator.
For this transit, put in your birth chart information, then find in the outermost ring of the circle the moon and Libra ♎ symbols, where do they fall in the Houses? This should be the focus of your (casual, this time at least) efforts.
Remember, it's important to use something like this on Astro Seek ^^ because the sources online tend to focus on a different House than the one that is personally affecting you. Also, on the subject of horoscopes ... your sun sign is your outward expression and personality and it changes on the month, your rising/ascendant is more accurate for a horoscope because it depends on the time of birth in just a few hours time -- the moon sign is also a better indicator of horoscope than the sun sign because it is the most accurate representation of your real, innermost, subconscious self.
Extras:
⭐ do ritual baths
⭐ do divination
⭐ do self care and self love, be the love you wish to receive from others
⭐ do be introspective and reflective, especially regarding relationships
⭐ do use something like Astro Seek to see what House is influenced right now and needs your focus
⭐ do NOT do heavy manifesting
⭐ do NOT make any contracts literal or metaphoric without extreme clarity of mind and definite assurance of its success or positivity
⭐ do NOT be overly judgemental, negative, desperate, or any kind of emotion or energy you do not wish to bring with you in manifestation later
⭐ this is the time for karmic consequences and karmic reward, what will it be and what will you unintentionally manifest in the coming future? (Remember, do NOT deeply manifest. The goal is effortless actionable efforts, things we can DO toward our goals NOT what we can mentally manifest or will into existence. Doing so now may have dire consequences later.)
Much love from the Abyss !!! 🌝🌛

Everything You Need to Know About Crystals: Black Obsidian
Black Obsidian (The Regal Warrior of Stones)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Color: Black, Dark Brown
Hardness: 5-5.5 (softer than quartz)
Rarity: Easy to Acquire
Type: Igneous Rock (Comes from a Volcano)
Chakra Association: Root
Angel: Uriel
Deities: Pele, Tezcatlipoca, Itzpapalotl and Sekhmet
Element: Fire, Earth
Astrological Signs: Sagittarius, Scorpio, Aries
Planet: Saturn, Pluto
Origin: Anywhere with Volcanic Activity
Powers: Protection, Grounding, Clarity, Releasing Blockage, Drawing out Stress, Creativity, Divination and Scrying, Negativity Banishment, Transformation and Absorption
Crystals It Works Well With: Howlite, Malachite
How is it Created: Obsidian is a black volcanic glass, formed when molten lava hits cold water or air and solidifies. It is composed of silicon dioxide (quartz) and many impurities which allows it to take different shapes and colors. Black obsidian gets it coloring from iron and magnesium.
History: The earliest obsidian tools can be dated back to the Oldowan, at the dawn of the Paleolithic/Stone Age (2.6 million- 10,000 BCE). Different origins of this rock can be found in Britain, Italy, Mexico, and the USA. In Egypt, obsidian knives were used in ceremonial circumcisions, as well as making mirrors (scrying mirrors for most) and other decorations in tombs. The word “Obsidian” was first used by a Roman explorer, Obsius, who “discovered” it in Ethiopia. In the Americas, Obsidian was used as a symbol of Tezcatlipoca, the chief god of the Aztec religion. Tezcatlipoca means “smoking mirror” which is why a lot of the Mayan priest used the glass rock for scrying mirrors like the Egyptians did. On the Eastern Islands, obsidian was used to make the eyes of the Moai statues before they were lost. The indigenous tribes of North America used pieces of obsidian to make arrowheads, spears and even knives by using an antler in order to carefully form different shapes.
What It Can Do:
Grounds the soul and spiritual forces into the physical plane, making it possible to manifest more spiritual energy
Increases one’s self control
Forces you to face your true self
Brings imbalance and shadow qualities to the surface to release them
Repels negativity and disperses self-hating thoughts
Powerful meditation aid
Great for scrying and divination as the glass allows you to look to see the “clear truth”
Can heal you after a spiritual or mental attack
Was used in the past during ritual for healing physical disorders
How to Charge:
Sit with the stone in the palm of your hand and enter a light meditation. Use your thoughts to charge the stones with desires of protection and make sure the thoughts are clear and concise.
Use high vibration to amplify the crystal
Use a singing bowl to send sound energy into it
Place it in a bed of Himalayan salt and let it sit for 48 hours
If you work with a sun or moon deity, I have noticed charging it in the sun or moonlight with the idea of protection helps to charge it as well
How to Cleanse:
Run under water (not hot just lukewarm) for a minute
Create a saltwater solution and submerge it for up to 24 hours
Burn herbs or incense over the obsidian with the intention of cleansing (I personally use sandalwood incense for this)
Leave your stone under the full moon to cleanse and retrieve in the morning
Bury your obsidian in your garden for 48 hours
How to Get the Best Out of It:
Wear a black obsidian bracelet. The wrist area is a highly energetic zone because it has nearly direct access to the bloodstream. This (in my opinion) is the best place to have obsidian to create a powerful shield and help with manifestation.
For lighter dosage, use an obsidian ring.
Crystal Grid:
Letting Go (Triangle Grid)
Mantra: “I release everything that no longer serves me”
Center Stone: Smokey Quartz Tower
Secondary Stones: Obsidian, Malachite, Rhodonite, Citrine
Best Moon Phase: Waning or Dark Moon
Best Day: Saturday

Witchy Resources
Astrology
Cafe Astrology - does your birth chart and it’s presented in a really cute way imo. It also gives you info about each placement and you can check compatibility and stuff too
Co—Star - I downloaded is the other day, it gives you quick daily horoscopes, do’s and dont’s for the day, and a longer breakdown of the horoscope
Dream work
Little Book of Dreams - I got this at a local store but you can get it for £4. It’s really cute and small, with just little summaries for what common dreams mean. It’s very simple but good for beginners in dream work
Deity worship (These are specific to Hellenism. You don’t have to worship Greek deities to be a witch but it’s what I have resources on because it’s what I follow)
Wikipedia - no seriously. It has info on so many different deities and their mythology so it’s actually quite useful.
r/Hellenism - a good place to ask questions if you’re new to deity worship and get some SPG on less common deities. Be sure to fact check
Amino - there’s a couple of Greek mythology and Hellenist communities on here. Like with Reddit, fact check!
Theoi.com - so much basic info on various deities, and it’s got epithets and things too that Wikipedia doesn’t have.
Tarot
Nata Soul Taro - probably the best pick a pile tarot readers I’ve found on YouTube. she also has a website and does personal readings. The videos are very calming and often really accurate
Zodianz - gives you three tarot cards and their meanings. Includes whether they’re yes or no, zodiac signs, planets and elements that correspond with each card, keywords for the card and then a short paragraph about the meaning. It also gives the meaning of the numbers in the card (like in 8 cups it tells you about 8)
If anyone knows any websites where you can learn tarot meanings let me know and I’ll add them to this list
Spell work
The Works - if you’re British, The Works has a lot of trinket boxes that you can keep spell ingredients in, and some potion bottles which are meant for crafts but they’re perfect for spell jars
Witchipedia - has some basic info about spells and some simple ones that you can do without needing many tools. Perfect for broom closeted witches, beginners or witches who can’t afford fancy stuff.
@strangesigils has some posts on common sigil methods, or, you can use some of their existing sigils!
Shadow work
Pinterest - I’m not kidding Pinterest has some great shadow work prompts if you just type in shadow work. Some are meh and some are really good
Co—Star - as well as astrology this also has a section where you can write a message to yourself and it’ll pop up the next time the stars are in the same position as they were when you wrote it
Crystal work
Holly’s Hope Beads - handmade crystal jewellery! My mum knows the girl who owns it and I’ve gotten a few pieces here. Really pretty and good quality

FULL MOON IN VIRGO + CARD OF THE WEEKND
(ENGLISH AND SPANISH)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This Saturday 24th we are living an incredible moon in virgo; which invites us to let go what doesn't benefit us at this time in our lives. It's an excellent moment to do a cleaning in areas where we feel disconnected; it's the right time for energetic cleansing, tidy up some space in our house, remove everything we no longer use, but above all to try to enter into balance and connect with our body and soul at the same time. Also, matching this Virgo energy, this weekend will be charged by the 'Page of Cups'. The emotional component of this card fills us with an impressive creative flow, allowing us to give birth to new beginnings charged with this energy. Thanks to the driving force of this moon in Virgo, the Page of Cups brings us good news. By integrating both energies (Page of Cups and moon in Virgo) it's important to keep in mind that when everything seems not to be working, never stop dreaming, because a dream is the first step to give success a chance. Trust in yourself.
