update on leena's campaign

hello all! we were all able to help leena reach her campaign goal of 15k€. i had previously posted about it here. after deliberating with leena, she decided to raise her campaign goal to 25k. now she has finally been able to access the internet enough to update the campaign.

current situation is such: the rafah crossing has been destroyed by the occupation. there are rumors that the hala evacuation company will start operating again soon, but we don't know any details. leena and her family are okay, thank god, but they have been displaced again with idf's cruel attack on khan younis, and have now started moving each week to avoid settling down.

the raised money will go towards their survival, as everything in gaza is extremely scarce and thus prices have skyrocketed. all extra that leena can save up will go towards evacuation fees (minimum 5k per anyone over 16) once evacuation is an option again.

I feel like ive seen quite a few gfms getting passed around and ive observed that a lot of them have stories of such exceptional people who have achieved so much, or were going to before the genocide cut it off. And i really commend them for it, i really do.

But it breaks my heart that palestinians reaching out to us feel the need to have to prove that they are they are good people who are worth the support, like theyre only worth being supported if they had a good gpa or were exceptional in some way.

They shouldnt have to prove that theyre beneficial to the economy somehow to be worth the support. They shouldnt have to be exceptional to deserve help. Our governments are putting them through this, both in the west and around the world too. They shouldnt have to prove anything. We owe them this

say whatever you want, but the last episode for rings of power gotta be the scariest shit i've seen. the way Celebrimbor become so hyperfocused over these "crowns" and how halbrand always follow right behind him, influencing him with little thoughts that slowly grows into an obsession....and then there's "Not-Finrod" appearing inside Galadriel's mind with this terryifing shift in his expression as if he's luring her and begged her to believe his words. "see!! sauron is misundersrood trust me!!" there's this- dreadful feelings of neediness and yearning from sauron that is so dark and i wish we get to see more of this in s2. they really nailed the horrors there.
