i've been working on a scarab 3d model and realizing that not only do the proportions of his facial features change constantly when he's maskless in the show, but also the size of his head is all over the place. i was so dumbfounded i had to drop everything and make a chart demonstrating .

THE springscarab... my oc x canon... art is kindaaaa placeholders, eventually i wanna use my own drawings BUT i didn't have any that really fit well (that I haven't used a million times) so! i hope it's okay to use gift art people made for me!

Scarab's warrior name is beetlemask i think... (idgaf if he doesnt wear a mask and cats dont know what masks are, id imagine its referring to the black stripe between his eyes)

Neat little design notes: i actually took into account realism to an extent, he has four colors because he's a chimera cat! One of his halves is a regular calico with XX chromosomes (black, orange and white) and the other half is a regular cinnamon-colored tom (reddish brown)

Prismo's name... Dreamwish works I think? I think he'd be a medicine cat.

I still need to finish his design beyond just the headshot but he's a brush donskoy cat, specifically based on this image!!

BEHOLD: ProhibitedWish Pokemon Gym Leader AU

It's been a HOT MINUTE since I've done ProhibitedWish stuff, but the brainworms spoke to me again, so here you go!

They're Gym Leaders who have to share a gym (Like Bea and Allister in Sword and Shield), so Scarab runs the Gym during the Summer while Prismo runs it during the Winter.

They were hella rivals in their Trainer Days, but now they share a wavelength no one else seems tuned to. They're Husbands, you're honor.

Scarab is just as No Nonsense as he always is, sometimes coming across as intimidating or severe to those who don't take the time to know him.

He's originally from Unova, and has a deep admiration for all bug types. He is constantly trying to prove their viability as partners, and serves as a mighty brick wall for trainers thinking they can just Bulldoze their way through with a single fire of flying type.

Scarab also has Chronic Pain in his legs, so he uses a cane to walk. Scizor is his service Pokemon, and has been since it was a Scyther and he was a young boy. He does contests in the off season, as well as nature photography.

Prismo is very laid back, always on the verge of falling asleep, and might come across almost like a slacker. He's very personable, easy to speak to, and quick to make acquaintances.

He's originally from Alola, but moved far away when he was a boy. His Gym Challenge is considered infuriating by many, as his primary goal is to put the opponents to sleep, and keep them that way for as long as possible.

His Musharna is very well fed as he has very strange dreams. It's what attracted her to him in the first place! Overall, he's very eager to cuddle up with his Pokemon (or husband) and take a nap whenever he's able. He runs a Yoga studio in the off season.
