Get Up From Your Desk
Do not get stuck on your desk all day. Unlike our outdoor-working, sunrise -'til-sighted farming ancestors, many of us don't have occupations that involve physical labor. If this is true for you, consider integrating small exercises into your work day. Set a timer in your own computer to alert you every hour. Stand up from the desk and either do a lap around the office or a strength move. These little sodas can accumulate to a lot of extra burned calories throughout a week, month, or even year.
I like to take screenshots of my workouts from my iPhone app and paste them next to my desk monitor as motivation/reminder to get up and get outside!

Keep it Varied
After developing a workout routine the enlightened exercise enthusiast won't count on any 1 sort of exercise. Building a regime with varied forms of exercise are not only going to prevent tedium, it's also going to make it easier to maintain training. Injury, equipment failure or other negative conditions will have less influence on an overall routine when it includes many forms of exercise.
