Inseparable buffoons, these two.

They do everything together, go everywhere together, game together, torment together. Anything you can think of, they're usually attached by the hip unless one of them is taking a nap.

They always cover for the other, so everyone knows better than to interrogate them for whatever mishap the other one was witnessed caressing.

They have nightly game nights, either COD, Mario Kart, or a scary game. And they often sleep in the same room with makeshift sleepovers. Usually whoever steals the bed first gets it, but the homies do cuddle once in a while.

And a kiss goodnight.

Of course.

But they also argue on the daily, Ben has a bad habit of roasting people he loves, and sometimes Jeff just can't take the heat. But in the end, they both end up laughing over it after one of them stutters or says something so stupid they can't help but laugh.

"Bozo", "Dumbass", "Peepoo head", and "Dickwad", are all loving nicknames between the two.

They are the sibling that both of them asked for growing up, and they really would never want the friendship to change.

The 3am 7-11 trips to get Doritos and Slurpee's are priceless memories, as well as pushing each other down the stairs, and deep, late night talks about their childhood that will never leave the four walls of Jeff's room.

And they so occasionally share hoodies, they're not quite sure who originally belonged to whom, except for Jeff's signature favorite.

And late nights with nothing but the tv light illuminating the room on a paused movie while crying over trauma and teary eyed over shitty jokes and made them laugh until they couldn't breathe, those are core memories that stick.

That's what make it worth it, to have lived through the Hell of this life, to have those moments together at 4am.

Between Mario Kart, Pirate movies, naps by the fireplace, and talking every single day since they met, it's been nice.

It's a special kind of friendship that one has to experience to truly understand it.

Just guys being dudes.

Headcanoning that Sally is just really bad at Roblox obby's. She constantly falls and rage quits to go play a roleplay game or something.

Hi! I love your writing and you are my go-to slenderdad blog! So here's my request. An Operator! Reader (preferably GN) who really cares and loves their proxies. They said fuck it, found a loophole and legally adopted all of their proxies. The proxies end up calling em’ mother/father/parent. How would Slenderman react to them? I mean them and Slender are kinda similar being parental figures to their proxies.

He would not think it was the smartest idea.

Considering the dangers that humans already face in the underrealm, adopting them would only starken things.

It increases the attachment to these mortal beings, as someone that lives on forever, it's torture knowing you are staring at your child that will die before they can truely experience life.

On some of the proxies, Slender can already sense death lingering over them.

A medical condition, a failing kidney, small things that can onyl have a bandaid put on them before a larger problem arises in near future.

Slender tries his best to suppress these intrusive thoughts, because adopted or not, his proxies, and everyone lese who lives in the manor, he considers as his own. 

He cares deeply about every single one, paying attention to small details. Kate, for example, loves southern food. If she seemed like she had a hard day at work, the dinner that night will have chicken fried steak and grilled corn, all paired with some good applesauce.

From a legal stance, adopting will only creates struggles with finances, trades, social status, and the relationship with the proxies.

 No one will want to trade with someone that has such close relations with humans. Slender is looked down upon simply for treating them with basic respect, let alone allowing them their own personal rooms, items, and schedules.

Proxies, and humans in general, are seen as less than the commoner in the Underrealm.

Laws are very loose when it comes to their abuse and overworking, and adopting a human is unheard of unless they are mixed with something else. 

(EX. Human and a demon have a child, child is abandoned and cannot return to the humans due to the unfortunate willingness to kill and eat anyone it looks at.)

Slender will limit his interactions with them. His social status is already in the pits, he doesn't need to be buddy-buddy with another being that will only bring danger toward him and his proxies.

But maybe it was perfect just the way it is.

She didn't bother to brush her hair after she come home from work, and it was lay strewn about, above her now flushed cheeks.

The fireplace was kicking strong, pumping the smell of firewood throughout her room. It's been long since you helped her work through her trauma of the flame.

She leaned forward, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead. If this was what love is, then why did she used to be so scared of it?

Why did she cower and snap when you first met? Why did she shove you away, afraid of being so hurt?

It was worth the risk of falling on the concrete if it meant the chance of someone like you catching her.

She knows you're perfect, as she holds your cheeks and studies your face. Her burn marks curving and framing her cheekbones, you study her back.

You would've had to told her that you love way way before she allowed you in her room, nonetheless, her bed. But every time feels like the first for Kate, regardless of how deep you two may be.

She wraps her arms around your waist, easily pulling you close to her. She buries her face into your hair, rubbing her cheek all over your crown, just finding the perfect spot to smoosh.

Your face buries into her shoulder, finding an opening between her legs that your knee can cradle.

The fire will die down soon, and you two will be peacefully slumbering.

"I love you too."

And for once, Kate feels safe.
