Dragons are an important part of the ecosystem, and also quite good conversationalists if they're old enough. Baby dragons less so.
dear wizards,
please stop building your towers on mountains near dragon flight paths or filled with historic dragon caves and then complain about the "dragon problem"
most of the adventurers you hire are reasonable and just go home anyway
sincerely, dragons

I think it's the residual mana fog that gets left behind. It sometimes smells like fruit, at least to me.
Just found a spellbook of "banana-flavored spells", and I... don't know what that mens. What makes a spell banana-flavored? Do you eat spells? What is going on here?

repeat after me:
i am not an evil wizard and this amulet isn’t cursed. i am a perfectly passable, if slightly lacking, very normal wizard, and the thing in front of me is a locket with some quirks.

It's been a little while since I last spoke with anyone. I've been rather busy with exams at the end of this term at the College. My knee has been playing up a lot lately, as has my neck. Being hunched over a desk like this isn't good for me.
I've made some good progress on my Preternatural Classifications assignments though. And I've figured out how to install those crystals someone here told me about. Only have to cast dream wards once and then just recharge the crystals has been a lifesaver. Even if I did have to brush off my very rudimentary Neodraconic. I am not very good at Scripting in that language.

I think someone put a curse on me. Don't know who, but I keep getting a tightness in my chest and a strong sense of unease whenever I think about certain topics. Particularly those surrounding the immediate future and my studies.
Ah. According to my copy of Desem the Fifth's grimoire, I have an "Anxiety Disorder", whatever that is.

WIZARD TIP: Time is cheap if you're not the one buying it. Push as much labor as possible onto your long-suffering golem servant; that way you're free to spend the whole day fucking up without having to worry about silly things like feeding yourself or maintaining your wizard blog.

What's the hype around amulets? It's always amulets this, amulets that, never bracelets or rings or earrings...like, rings are the most classic of cursed objects when did everyone switch over to amulets?

Watching documentaries on my Orb, and the bards on the soundtrack keep playing the same overdramatic sting any time anything goes remotely wrong, it's hilarious

oohh that's rough, those ingredients are expensive. Do you use the hermetic recipe, or the kuinian recipe? I've not had much luck with either
my roommate cleaned out the fridge and accidentally dumped my homunculus starter down the drain again :////

what are everyone's favourite casting focus? I want to be a staff fan, because they're so dramatic and fun, but it's hard to use one when you need to use a cane, and at least in my experience, casting staves don't work particularly well as a replacement. I tried carving some focusing runes into my cane, but it's difficult to fit them all in the reduced space is tricky. I really need to work on my carving skills, lol
for now though, I tend to cast most of my magic sitting down, straight out of the book. there's something very dramatic about puling magic off the page that I love. Just hard to do that with one hand

I know that adoption is generally better, but unfortunately I live *way* too far away from any shelters for that to be feasible. And I know it's for when I get my own tower, but I'm not gonna be able to compete for real estate in a high-magic community, I can only afford low-density wizarding accomodation, the single tower in a 100km radius sort of thing
When I get my own tower, first thing I'm doing is conjuring a familiar. My teacher is allergic to cats, so I haven't been able to get one yet, but I just love their cute little faces.
A Novenari Forest Cat would be perfect, they're arcanely aware, and super fluffy and cute. Excellent mousers too, apparently. Unfortunately Decadre's forests only have wild dogs and wolves
