i finally had time to watch the new episode of WoT & i cant decide if my favorite part of the episode was alanna walking in on perrin & faile or elayne singing the Hills of Tanchico. it definitely was NOT alsera’s death & josha’s performance of grief & that, “I can do anything,” because l need my heart in my chest, thank you very much 😭

ugh, i hate how much i love alanna because i suspect we're headed directly toward her bonding rand without his permission. but they're showing what leads to that decision, which i appreciate, but still, ugh. i like her way more in the show than i ever did in the books, which is going to make that arc even more frustrating (if it happens, obviously. but they're doing a pretty good job of setting it up with her speech about not being ready for the last battle.)

also, random aside, but Melindhra = darkfriend who tries to kill mat, right?? this friendship she's got going with lan & making her malkieri is going to make that even more of a bummer.

also i would be incredibly amused if rand or egwene decided to make fun of melindhra's obsession with lan and wonder what nynaeve would think about it, just for fun.

damn i just really love this show.
