Literally, thanks to him he made it possible for most of us, including myself, to be able to make detailed and realistic sims thanks to the easy ripping program he created. I hope he rests and has not suffered. A hug to heaven and an eternal THANK YOU

RIP, CmarNYC

I’m very sad to report that Sims 3 and 4 creator CmarNYC passed away in October 2023. For 15 years, Simmers benefited from Cmar’s long-honed computing skills as she created much-loved modders’ and players’ tools, including the Sims 3 and 4 MorphMakers and Skininators, the TS4 SimRipper, the Sims 3 XCAS core mod, and many CAS sliders. She was also a contributor to S4PE, which likely was used by creators you rely on. Without Cmar’s work, the Sims franchise would have had a much less rich array of mods and custom content. She will be greatly missed.

As well as Sims, Cmar loved cats, and donations are suggested to the ASPCA, the TinyKittens Society, or an animal-related charity near you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY my beloved Britney. (December 2)

(I know I'm a day late, but I wanted to create a video with an animation and I lost half of yesterday to not get it.)

You know who knows me or follows my publications that whenever I show a creation of Miss Spears it is usually inspired by the 2000s, I suppose it is my favorite era of her music, hers and music in general.

Whether we like it more or less, time passes, and over time our aspects and stories evolve, change, whether we like it or not it is inevitable. That is why I have decided to create this entry inspired by the most current Britney, the Britney who has just turned 42 years old, and to whom I wish many more years and maximum happiness. [Pose Helper] EA RigPlus v1

After a month of working on this pose helper and sharing its progress, I'm really excited to finally share it to you all 🙌

As the name suggests, this custom rig aims to improve upon the default rig, taking ideas from setups used for games & animations to make it simpler and easier to use! Its purpose is to provide you with new features while keeping the original rig functional.

This rig is an active project, so your feedback is very much welcomed and appreciated 😁 they will help in improving this rig further. You can send them via an ask, a reply to this post, or via this Google Form. Questions/suggestions over DMs will not be answered as they are harder to track.

Available for all ages (infant - toddler - child - adult sims). No occults & pets included yet.

Custom bone shapes & colors to make distinguishing, selecting, and controlling bones easier, as opposed to the default shape that overlaps with one another and are hard to select.

Added various custom drivers and bone constraints which is used for moving several bones at once, locking certain bone movements to prevent unnatural posing, and much more.

New custom controllers to help automate certain processes (hand grip, slouching posture, eye target, to name a few).

FK on IK setup which allows you to quickly set a pose with the IK bones and fine tune poses with the FK bones.

Asset Browser to provide many things for your posing needs. You'll find furniture, sim models, and premade poses stored in the asset browser. See documentation for how to install.

Blender Add-on with useful features such as bone layers, posing tools, as well as custom properties that change the behaviour of the rig (height slider being one of them).

Future plans

Extend rig QoL improvements to occults and pets.

Expand Asset Browser's catalog (particularly for poses with props/accessories).

Adjust existing pose assets for other ages.

didn't want to deal with EA's base rig so instead I overcomplicated things and made one myself. haha.

things it has & can do for anyone curious:

alternate between IK & FK at anytime, they both can be controlled without having to deal with snapping FK to IK and all that stuff

custom bone shapes! easier to pose your sims when you can see what you're controlling 😗

locked position for the eye (in vid), foot & hand

copied rotation on spine0-2 and head/neck that makes sense for a human being

moving IK foot won't cause wacky things to the leg

Xena: Amazon Princess

As you have verified from a previous post, I am working on characters from one of my favorite series of all time, Xena Warrior Princess. I really have and try to recreate outfits close to those used in the TV series, I will make new posts about it later.

But it's fun for me to break out of it and make like a new outfit and this is one of the results.
