Hullo y'all! Just a couple quick updates: sorry for going super quiet without warning again, one of my grandparents ended up in the hospital last month with a serious health issue and everything's just been a lot. But the situation is improving somewhat, so my brain is slowly returning to a workable state. Anyway, all that to say: thank you very much for your patience with my in-progress fics and comics, I really appreciate how non-pressuring and kind everyone has been. You all are awesome!

(And I have once again fallen very behind on asks — that is on my list to catch up on as well, thanks for your patience in that area too aksjfksdj)

Other update: as my brain was returning to equilibrium I went on an OC-drawing spree, so I revamped my original art blog to post that stuff over there. Changed the profile pic (I cut my hair recently so I wanted a new self-portrait to match) and also changed the URL cause I wasn't super fond of the old one, so!

Aksjfksdjfk I'm glad!! Tbh I've been going weeks and weeks at a time without feeling able to check my feed on here at all (weird mental blocks, brains are weird), so whenever I do come on and like things, I feel like I'm poking my head up out of a hole in the ground only to almost immediately retreat again — so that makes me feel better, thank you :'D I am waving back! And hopefully as brain improves I will have more words to actually reblog things and such again, I like it more when I can actually form words!

I am definitely doing better this month than I was in December — I've been putting a lot of effort into improving my mental state, and the changes I've made seem to be helping so far. Do you have something, anything nice to share? I just found out my dog has cancer and I’ve been crying all day and I don’t know what to do

I am so, so sorry to hear that, anon — I’m in a similar boat, unfortunately. Last week we took one of my cats to the vet because he suddenly stopped eating, and we found out that he had a type of cancer that is completely untreatable in cats, and had to put him to sleep almost immediately. All of it happened over a span of less than 48 hours and I’m still trying to process it, and I keep seeing things around the house that remind me of him and bursting into tears all over again — so I truly get it, and I hope you have support during this time. It is unspeakably dreadful to have a pet go through this.

I don’t have much to share, I haven’t been able to draw much at all during the past week, but I have a part of a comic I was working on before everything happened — I’m not sure it counts as something nice, but I’ll post it and link it here just in case, since I don’t have much else! I hope you can find things that bring you comfort — my housemates and I have been focusing on ways to keep our cat’s memory with us, but processing can be different for everyone. I’ll be thinking of you anon, I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this too

Hullo hullo! :D Funny you mention that, I actually had a burst of productivity on that fic during the past month — my brain needed something very light and silly to work on apparently, since I haven’t been feeling super great — so I have the first chapter of that fic done, apart from a few minor edits I need to make :0

Would you be interested in reading that, if I posted the first chapter now? The whole thing is only gonna be 3 chapters in total, so I don’t think the rest of it will take me too long to finish. TBH I’ve felt a bit guilty working on yet another WIP when I have several other fics and comics going already (all of which I do 100% still plan on finishing! It’s just been hard to find time and mental capacity to work on the more complicated plots amidst the chaos and Bad Brain Times)

But yeah, if I’m not the only person that’s in the mood for goofy teleporting shenanigans fic, I’m down to post what I have so far!👍 (and thank you so much, it’s always really nice to hear that you enjoy the stuff I make :’D)
