Bottom line is, even if you see 'em coming, you're not ready for the big moments.
No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does.
So what are we, helpless? Puppets? No.
The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that.
It's what you do afterwards that counts.
That's when you find out who you are.
You'll see what I mean.

I love the original Alice in Wonderland so much better than all the remakes! :) I even managed to use my Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette today! :)

What gives?
Did you ever feel like people judge you? I've been feeling like that a lot lately. Especially since I stopped eating fish and meat.
Nobody has been able to give me a good enough reason to go back to eating meat. The other day two people ridiculed me over the fact that I don't eat meat. What is it to you? Do my choices affect you? No.
Judgement happens all the time, but it's hard to build yourself up with a thick skin. I've always said time and time again that I could give a damn about what other's think about me, but sometimes it's just downright annoying. What gives?
Gandhi said, 'Nothing can hurt me without my permission.' Which is so true because you can only allow yourself to be hurt by someone else by what they do or what they say. It just hurts when people judge you over your beliefs and your values, which I think is unfair and shows a lack of respect and maturity.
Now I can understand why PETA has the type of attitude that they have. They advocate for animal rights strongly, and almost too strongly but that is how they make significant changes. They don't care about what others think because they feel so strongly in what they're believing in and fighting for. Time to take note of that.

Revieweek
I will post reviews on products that I buy on the third of every month. Products will vary from cosmetics, beauty products, etc. that will be either vegan or cruelty free.
Last month, I made a trip to my local Walmart to buy beauty/cosmetics that would be affordable yet effective. I've been a fan of Burt's Bee's lip balm for many years and decided that it would be worth it to try out some of their beauty products.
Burt's Bee's Radiance Exfoliating Body Wash $8 (prices may vary)
I was looking to find an exfoliant that would be good for every day. I enjoyed that this body wash was not particularly rough on the skin, and is more of a creamy wash than I initially thought it would be. I think this product would be good for people who have very sensitive skin (moi) and would like something that is not very fragrant. The bad news, is if you enjoy washes that are very foamy, this not the one for you. Burt's Bee's establishes and prides itself of being free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and petrochemical free. Sulfates are what makes shampoos and washes very foamy so you may need more than your usual to get pay off. I particularly do not like the smell and that is why I will not likely be buying this again.
2. Â Burt's Bee's Extra Energizing Citrus & Ginger Root Body Wash $8 (prices may vary)
If I had to pick this one over the other, I would. The smell is much more pleasant than the other one and it really wakes me up in the morning. It's very light, delicate and doesn't manage to irritate my skin at all. I find that many washes tend to leave my skin dry, but this one does not. I find that I enjoy using this one other the other particularly because of the scent. (Thank you to my boyfriend who picked this one out for me!) I intentionally used the exfoliating body wash one first because I wanted to save the best for last! I will definitely continue to buy this.
3. Burt's Bee's Cranberry and Pomegranate Sugar Scrub $13 (prices may vary)
When I first starting shaving at a very young age, I didn't understand why I would get so many red bumps on my legs. It's because you must exfoliate before you shave! When you exfoliate, you remove all of the dead skin cells and leaves your skin feeling smooth. I've never tried a sugar scrub before so I decided to give this one a try. One the jar, it says, 'Do not consume.' It's a good thing that they put it because it smells SO GOOD that it will make you want to eat it. It contains tiny seeds along with oils to leave your skin noticeably brighter and smoother looking. The first time I tried this I saw a noticeable difference. One thing to note is that it may leave your shower slippery. I find it best to use this during a bath rather than a shower so you don't have to worry about slipping. I recommend this product and will most likely be buying it again.
4. Burt's Bee's Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream $8 (prices may vary)
I was introduced to this through a friend from high school, and I've used it ever since. The tube will last you a long time and you only need a small amount to get pay off. The first time you use it, your may feel a cooling sensation. It is also good to use if you are removing makeup on your face. I don't recommend using this on the eyes because the cream may get into your eyes, and they also advise you avoid the eye area. I also love using this because it is non-comedogenic (which means it doesn't clog your pores). I go to a dermatologist and he told me I can only use makeup, soaps and face washes that are non-comedogenic. Switching to products as such, my skin has made a huge improvement over the last year that I've been going. I highly recommend this product and will continue to buy it.
5. The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Stick $12
I didn't realize that when I purchased this it could be used for stretch marks! I haven't used them for stretch marks specifically. I use it more in an unconventional way, and I actually use this on my eyebrows when it's time for me to shape them. I also use this on my hands, specifically between my knuckles and pointer and thumb finger were my hands tend to get very dry. You can pretty much use the stick anywhere (knees, elbows). It's a great addition and alternative to using lotions that may leave your hands and skin feeling greasy.
I have many more products that I have to review, but I'll save those for next time. I look forward to making this a monthly thing :)
