My heart breaks, it was bittersweet. For a moment, I forgot reality and lived with each and one of the characters till their death. 

Love that transcends time, age and death

Love that appears in different forms from different people

I wonder if Chouka had just a simple wish of wanting to see the crow happy instead of seeing the crow as a romantic partner. The relationship between Chouka and Shijaku was developing more like how the couples in this story ended up. But who knows

It`s finally here!!

This is the last chapter of Flower of Winter and the final entry of the series Saiunkoku Monogatari.

I have so much I want to say about this ending and the story in it`s entirety, but I`ll save that for another time.

For now, I`d like to once again thank @abrownfeminist for helping me edit this story. The finished product would have been vastly different without her, and the experience of translating it would have been far less satisfying without our banter. Truly, thank you.
