It's bad enough they stole our future. But they'll also happily rub it in our faces.

It's so difficult for me to believe that there are people out there that exist where nothing is physically wrong with them - they're perfectly healthy, and also there's nothing mentally wrong with them - no disability or illness of any kind. Unburdened. How??

As an autistic woman, it took me a long time to understand my own emotions, let alone the emotional state of others.
But one of the things I learned through a hell of alot of introspection is the effect that shame has on a person.
When I feel ashamed, I feel terrible and vulnerable and I've come to recognise the relationship it has with anger.
When faced with shame, the response is almost always anger in my experience of observation of others, too.
I think viewing shame as a source of anger really explains alot of the world for me quite succinctly.

Excuses and Reasons are very different things that are very involved with each other.
An excuse is a level of grace that you're entitled to in a situation, and you're not always entitled to it.
I find it very important when speaking on an action to clarify when you're giving a reason or an excuse.
If you're overheating, overwhelmed and overstimulated and you lash out, that action isn't automatically cleared of your own input. You'd still need to apologise and recognise that it doesn't excuse the behaviour, but merely explain it. Then, obviously, assuming that you're both good, you'll work towards preventing the same happening again in the future.
If you're on your way to school and your bus breaks down, the bridge is blocked and it takes you an hour to walk it, those are both the reasons and the excuse for your lateness. The resulting action was entirely out of your hands. You're entitled to more grace. You're entitled to be excused.
It's all about accountability and responsibility. Its about holding yourself to a standard and recognising when something is entirely beyond control.

Got a PS5 FINALLY!! I've been really enjoying it! Also was playing Astro Bot, which is a game I enjoyed way more than I thought I would! Very unserious, but very fun. Plays exactly like a 3D Mario game, frankly. The graphics in this game and on this console are GREAT!
Time for my review, I suppose!
In terms of accessibility, this game... Kinda lacks? Idk. It uses the accessibility default that you set in the playstation settings, I think, which is pretty neat but all things considered there just aren't any substantial accessibility settings. It's a shame! In fact, overall there are very few options. I wanted to increase camera sensitivity and was upset to find that that isn't an option. In fact the only camera options are to invert it? It's a huge shame, the options for the game are so lacking.
As for gameplay, as I said, it's very, very much alike a 3D Mario game - your classic run through and grab the Collectibles. Though, instead of moons and stars, it's Bots and Puzzle Pieces. Bots can be from various playstation properties, or basic Bots, which all help to unlock various bits around the crash site. Puzzle pieces work towards adding new features to the crash site. It's nice!
Customisation is.. Severely lacking. You unlock it a fair bit in, and while I appreciate what's available, I'd hoped to see more. You can customise your avatar to a decent amount of outfits, and change your controller spaceship to a decent amount of colours, but that's all. Another criticism is that your character's outfit will be overwritten often by power-ups, which is a little sucky but fine otherwise.
One last thing is there's a specific part of one of the levels where without warning the lights begin to flash, which, a seizure warning would not have gone amiss.
I've really enjoyed it and intend to get the platinum, (hoping to make it my 5th) so take from that what you will.
I recommend this game unless you're prone to seizures or have more moderate to severe accessibility needs.

I love slang but like it doesn't come naturally to me as I don't really engage with folks enough to facilitate that spread of language. Also tism.
This leads to situations like the other day when I had a friend over that uses these slang terms like 'slay' and uh other stuff, and because I like her (shes really nice and also transition goals) I try to emulate her language somewhat (tism again). Thing is, I get the feeling I come across like those 'pretending to be human' monsters, like a wendigo or something and while that's funny, it's also disheartening that I struggle to integrate myself in that fashion.
It's not really an issue ofc but like... bleh. Whole thing makes me feel weird, and more aware of how I emulate others.

I just finished Citizen Sleeper! It's great and here's what else I have to say, because I *do* have criticisms:
GAMEPLAY:
Mechanics - You balance 3 systems. 'Condition,' your health, 'Dice' your actions, and 'Energy,' your needs fulfillment.
I feel like these three are balanced extremely well! Your condition decreases by 1 every time you sleep (Max 20), and your energy decreases by 2 with each sleep (Max 5). Your Condition is what decides how many dice you have for that 'Cycle,' with a Max of 5 and a minimum of 1. Every time you lose 4 condition, you lose access to one of your dice, which you regain and are rolled randomly each morning.
You have to put some thought to what you do, what dice you allocate to what, and what to prioritise being not terrible at. This all feels great!
Good mechanics, no notes, love it.
Unfortunately, some decisions are... Ambiguous at best, which I understand from the standpoint of story. This is where Gameplay starts tying in with Story. Sometimes you will make a decision based on what you have, without realising it will lock you into a path that you must now urgently attend to, with one of the endgame ones essentially softlocking you into an ending, as opposed to letting you freeplay.
Secondly, if you fuck up like I did, the game won't try to confirm with you if you really do want to sleep back-to-back stardew valley stylez.
This happens an unfortunate amount, as alot of tasks seem to follow a particular pattern that seems arbitrarily different for ambiguous decisions. I do appreciate the 'actions have consequences' of it all but it isn't always fair to you.
As for controls, if you're playing with a controller you WILL struggle to navigate the menus. It's got a decent bit of jank to it and it tends to force you to spend time orienting things in a specific way to get you to cooperate.
Also, not alot of disability help unfortunately! Even my eyes strained at reading the walls of text, and while I'm not going to tell off an indie company for not hiring VAs, it would have been nice to see access for folks with dyslexia or other disabilities that would make it difficult to access the game. On the other side, however, the game does nothing without your direct input, meaning folks who struggle with dexterity should be fine. (Correct me if I'm wrong!) I could play the game entirely one-handed while petting my very needy kitten who screamed at me alot throughout.
Story! (Set on space station, far future, cyberpunk-ish)
The story is genuinely very fun. Lots of collaborative storytelling, a genuinely interesting universe and narrative and strong, fun characters. Admittedly little character development, and things can feel a little fast at times, but it's a small game.
Unfortunately it suffers from a lack of 'interlockingness'. If you've done something in one place and another character references it, you will be forced to play dumb until the point their story catches up with you, which can be painful lol. Also, I feel like there aren't necessarily rewards for already having done alot of things prior to a character requesting it of you.
Some of the writing for cyber characters can be a little bit over the top at times, but I still enjoyed that content.
Guess I'll start a new run soon! And I look forward to playing the sequel!

Just beat God of War: Ragnarök (No spoilers)
This game is fucking amazing omg. I loved it so much. I got about... 75% completion? Got most of the Ravens (missed 2 grr might go back for them) got basically everything and...
Every time I was worried something wouldn't pan out well and I'd dislike it, it ends up feeling so good..!!!
In terms of bugs, they were infrequent enough to not be a bother, and it was basic enough to solve on a simple save/reload. (Cutscene not playing, got stuck because sled ai pulled up and trapped me against a corner, prompt not given)
I'm gonna be going into some spoilers when I discuss further now, so if you haven't played yet, please escape!!
The rest of us, I'll keep going: Combat! I love having all these options but I wish there was a skill tree for unarmed. My playstyle focuses around building Stun more than anything else (which I'm guessing is common) which means I love the Axe, and barely ever use my Chains. I do really like the way that the Spear helps getting Stun up as an alternative to fistfighting but ah, a small gripe. Also, switching from Spear to Axe when you get it gets to be super finicky which isn't amazing in a fight, but it's tolerable.
As for story - I loved it!! Payoff on everything is amazing! I'll be honest, I found the Ironwood section a little tedious, and I was annoyed at some of the choices Atreus made at points in the middle of the story but you're *supposed* to be annoyed, those decisions are supposed to be irresponsible because they're being made by a teenager with an often distant father.
Overall, these are mostly personal gripes.
The dialogue makes even dull moments interesting - and all of it feels so human! I love the stories, the banter, all of it.
Oh, I just remembered something that bothered me alot - the animation was really rough in places. ESPECIALLY with Freya - her expressions felt super... weird? And stiff? It was kinda distracting alot of the time, enough to break immersion at times, but overall fun.
The accessibility options are GREAT. I love GOW stuff but I can't play the older games because of the button mashing. In this game, you're given options to alter how that works (I set it to 'Hold')
Subtitle options are substantial and great for stereo audio users due to the option to have subtitles show you where they're coming from (great for hunting ravens!)
Overall, I couldn't go through it all here but the insane amount of accessibility in this game is great! Some key features are save points inside bosses, aid with dodging and more hints. This is the most options to refine accessibility I have seen in any game, well, ever.
I also feel like the hints they give (in default setting) are actually decently helpful (though at times annoying when they tell me what to do just as I'm about to do it)
The prophecy stuff, building up to everything going according to prophecy and then it just... not? I loved that. The whole game I was on th3le edge of my seat as to whether or not the prophecies would come true... I was so conflicted! I kinda figured out early on that Brok would die due to the game reinforcing their bond and the whole time calling it 'Sindri's House' but ah, could just be bias from the foreshadowing working.
Overall? 10/10 and I don't really care what people say. Ty for reading!

This game is so pretty and every 5 seconds something awesome happens and I just become that sans 'so cool' meme
Finally playing God of War: Ragnarök since I could get my paws on it and I'm FUCKING LOVING IT!! Forgot how human everything felt in this world of magical bullshit. 10/10 everything so far lol. (Accessibility settings are crazy good!!! I like that I can disable button mashing as that always hurts my fingers.)
Anyway, not what I came here to say.
While the game has its purposeful comic relief moments (for example, your classic Brok and Sindri shenanigans), it also has some crazy unintentional humour.
An example of this that had me hysterically laughing at 0445 on a Wednesday morning was this: I don't have Mimir at the moment, and as Kratos I examined a lore tablet. I'm always curious how Kratos would comment in the absence of his counsel, and so was listening intently to the man of few words, who approached the tablet and just went "Hm." Which was fucking hilarious to me. Probably not that funny but hey my happiness is my happiness and that made me so happy. Without Mimir Kratos just kinda went "Interesting rock, will regard with interested huff and upwards nod." I love this game, man...
P.S. I've been wanting to start a game review thing for a while and never knew how I'd do it (Videos, website etc) but I think I'm just gonna do it here :3 so I might do that soon! I'll be measuring games on their accessibility, difficulty, customisability, fun rating, and a couple other undecided factors. Tune in if that's something you'll want to hear about! I just notice alot of game reviewers don't have alot to say about accessibility in gaming is all! Ciao!

I dunno how I'm only JUST learning about Lisia's Appeal. CRAZY good for stalling. Can't retreat?? 50% chance they don't even hit you?? Yummers.
Combo that shit with a snorlax stall deck? Playset of the following: Boss' Orders, Lisia's Appeal, Counter Catcher, Stall Snorlax and Super rod with a few safeguarding Mimikyu and other bits would be solid.

I've been getting out of the house more - mainly just to the local community center. I love the people there. I really do. There's this family there - they love each other. I play Pokemon with the boys, and my husband gabs with the mum. They're so... good. I don't really view my husband's family as, well, family. Nothing against them, they're great, too, but it could be I don't see them much, something I don't know yet or just that these others feel so much more what I know, what my childhood looked like. They feel like my family, which is weird and confusing to work through, considering that I am very low contact with my birth family and feel disconnected from them. Until this point, I assumed that family doesn't mean much to me but agh. I feel like I owe my in-laws the feelings I have towards these people at the community center, but I just don't. Every time I expect something bad to happen from them, it doesn't. They're kind, and accepting, and they like us.
Playing pokemon tcg has been my main thing to get me out of the house and while the anti-capitalist inside screaming at me for spending so much money at Nintendo stuff, I also don't care? It's the only thing that makes me excited to leave the house, bear in mind that prior to this, I was fucking terrified of leaving my home. I only go to the community center, and it's literally one street over, but it's progress. Talking to strangers, playing-- oh! I won 2 of 4 matches in my league night and I got two really nice cards in one of my prize packs! I got a league stamped charizard ex and a league stamped chien pao ex! Both regular but still so fucking cool! I love pokemon. I love Mimikyu. Grrr!!! I love playing pokemon with my new friends! Even if I get my ass kicked 90% of the time. It's not about winning, it's about-- FUCK BOTH MY MIRAIDON EX ARE PRIZED AGAIN-

I'm gonna be real - I don't like the hate on the person who reported Luigi. I hate that they did it, absolutely, but also like... Aren't we all talking about how shitty of a situation we're all in? I'm not gonna fault a McDonald's worker for hoping that they could get money that could really improve their life, help them get themselves in a better position financially and even support people they care about.
Like I said, I hate that they reported Luigi, but at the same time, they could've been as desperate as literally everyone else is, and the fact that they could be denied their reward is horrific. People found the person who reported Luigi, and that person will not live it down, but they reap the consequences. That person likely hates the government as much as the rest of us, if not then, then absolutely now.
It's important to provide the support now. "I get why you did that, but it was a misstep." That should be it. They *will* be affected by this, and I'd rather open the arms than push them away.
But that's just me ig
That being said, free luigi and eat the rich. I don't want any CEO to feel safe. Glad they're realising they're not immortal. Your cash is not impenetrable, you subhuman fucks.
