Lynn. Settiai. "Hey you!" They all work, so call me whatever you'd like.
She/They. 37. Liberal. Geek. Bookworm. Gamer. Fanfiction writer. Vidder. Born-and-raised Tennessean currently living on the Maryland side of the DC suburbs over in the States. Introvert. Pisces.
Sexuality and gender identity are complicated. "Queer" works very well for me as a descriptor, and I often use it as a catch-all when I don't want to go into a detailed explanation. If you want specifics, though, I tend to bounce around somewhere between biromantic asexual and aromantic bisexual, depending on the state of my brain at any given time, with a side of autochorissexuality just to make things even more confusing.
I'm also nonbinary, although I usually present as feminine simply because it's simpler. (Also, I'm more comfortable in loose dresses due to my weight and autism making tighter clothing uncomfortable, and I usually don't have the spoons to explain why the clothes someone wears doesn't have anything to do with their gender identity.)
Organized religion and I have a very tense relationship due to where/how I grew up. I've talked about my upbringing in the middle of the Bible Belt some in this tag, if you're curious, but it's not exactly light reading.
What better use of the Enlarge spell is there than to HUG ALL YOUR FRIENDS??? I wanted to squeeze in a last minute print for Hal-con and was torn between a beefy pinup of Karlach or a group pic, then I realised I could do both ahaha. The print version won't include my Tav tho, this one's just for me. I love all these goobers so much.
I noticed that you still write h*rry p*tter stuff even though r*wling is a major terf figure actively harm trans people and considers any positive interaction of her stuff as support for it
Why is that
I have a note regarding that on every fic that I have posted in that fandom, even ones from years ago. In addition, I will point out that pretty much the only fics I’ve written for it recently were for fic exchanges where the mods needed a last-minute pinch hitter, and it was the only fandom that I was familiar enough with to write.
I'm nonbinary and queer, and I very much do not support J. K. Rowling or her abhorrent prejudices and beliefs. As someone who's been involved in fandom for two-and-a-half decades, though, I strongly believe in separating the source material from its creation once it is released onto the world. That's because I've been burned many times from the author/director/actor/etc. of something I love turning out to be a horrible person down the line.
I'm very much against spending money on anything related to Harry Potter, such as video games or books or blu rays, since that is directly supporting her, but fanworks are different in my mind. It's ours now, not hers, and we should do our best to transform the fictional world that was originally created into something better. Preferably in a way that makes her bigoted self see red.
sleeping arrangements (not sure tara would ever actually deign to sleep in the same 20ft radius as shovel but who can resist those big shiny insectoid black eyes 🥺)
Here's the art piece I did for the Dragon Age Big Bang to accompany @settiai's fantastic Anders/Sebastian fic Perspective (and Shifts Therein).
I can't recommend the fic enough, especially if you're curious about the ship but feel like you'd need a little convincing to really get behind it. It did the trick for me. I can't wait to see how it all play's out in the next part 🥰

Summary: Their story was made up of a series of firsts.
It was pure chance that they met when they did.
Technically speaking, Imogen wasn't supposed to be done with her work in the barns for at least another hour or two. The weather had been perfect for riding, though, and when he'd seen her longing glances her father had given her a knowing look and told her that the world wouldn't end if she left a little early. He'd promised to take care of the rest of her chores.
(There was a part of her that was well aware it hadn't been an act of kindness on his part. The grooms had been complaining about her again, their side eyes growing more and more obvious. Everything went more smoothly when she wasn't there to scare people and keep them from properly doing their jobs.)
I’ve been lurking here on Tumblr for a while, but it’s been years since I was properly active. What with everything that’s been going on over on Twitter, though, it looks like it might be time for me to properly brush the dust off of things over here.
