To say that Florizabeth's expression showed that of utter confusion and fear was an understatement. She's not new to the concept of mascots thanks to her time at the League as well as Acerola constantly sending her photos of Galar's own uncanny Pokéball mascot. However, that didn't stop her from feeling...rather uneasy around them.

Trying to be polite, she begins to ask for some information in an attempt to be helpful "A-are you friends with the Ball Guy?"

It was a warm and breezy early afternoon as a trail of florals brushed the air. In her hands, a small woven basket carried an assortment of daisies, peonies, and tulips. Soft footsteps tap lightly on the dirt path leading away from Iki Town and into a grassy hill that overlooked the sea. In the distance stood a tall stone with an epitaph that is barely legible, but is still understood by the woman even now. Kneeling herself close, Florizabeth places the flowers ever so carefully at the base.

“Hello Mom~,” she whispers as she places her hand on top, “Another wonderful year has passed us, I hope you feel the same. Ah, do you like my hair? I had it cut short and I think it looks so pretty, do you agree?”

Despite the harmonious sounds of the ocean and wind, mixed with various Pokemon who call this area home, all Florizabeth can hear is silence. 

“Even this year, I still can’t seem to hear you,” her eyes start to water, “I know you’ve crossed over, because I haven’t felt your spirit since that day, or ever since. But somehow, every year, I still find you here. Hoping that one day I’ll hear you again, and when that day comes I’m sure we will both be overjoyed.”

She stood up once more, wiping away a tear with her sleeve, “Until then, I want to wish you well. I love you, Mom”
