it’s so stupidly adorable, it’s a crime no one’s talked about it yet. you’ve got the chronically retired old man who’s all tall tales and no follow-through, and the sickly disaster twink who looks like he’s one strong breeze away from collapse, but he still shows up with perfect posture and a cup of tea.

wealwell’s soft-spoken and sweet at first — the kind of person who needs someone gentle, respectful, but still full of spark — and monty? monty’s got just enough bluster left to keep things interesting without ever pushing too hard.

They’d write fake expedition logs to avoid talking about feelings and gradually scoot their chairs closer during every “mission debrief” until they’re sharing a blanket and pretending not to notice. it’s domestic. it’s ridiculous. it’s everything.
