Safe to say, the few chapter of sunrise on the reaping I've read have made me scream and cry (positively and negatively for both)

Ok this might be a little weird but who else likes to take songs that are supposed to be romantic and see if they’d work for a platonic relationship too? (Obviously not songs that talk about kissing or other specifically sexual or romantic stuff). But like to be so close to each other and love each other so much, in a platonic way, that people could write ballads and songs about it. Some of my favorite character relationships are the ones that are two friends who are absolutely inseparable. We never see really strong friendships anymore, just strong romantic relationships. It just so refreshing to have friends like that. Like always hugging each other and being like “bro if you die I have nothing else to live for” and those friendships that are so beautiful and pure it makes me want to sob

I agree wholeheartedly and wow I’m so glad somebody is actually saying this because it seems like no one is addressing these things

It's actually funny how people are accusing me of "taking things out of context" in order to paint Snow in a bad light when my whole post was full of quotes from the book plus one little paragraph of my thoughts on the quotes.

Trying to make young Snow out to be an innocent little victim when he was already a bad person thinking that Lucy Gray (who he loved sooo much🤪) wasn't even an evolved human is insane.

Collins' purpose of writing TBOSAS was never to make us sympathise with Snow, but to see his origins.

If you can't see that and genuinely finished the book/movie thinking Snow's a poor little victim then that says a lot about you🥴

(I'm not surprised tho, people nowadays will romanticise anything)
