|| poem || We met amid the endless conversations, Sharing innocent verses of our hearts. Now here you are, all grown up Living on the edges of my thoughts. Every once in a while trying to overpower my sanity, only to paint it with the Colours of your insanity. You so innocently and stealthily crept in my life, only to make yourself stay longer. My one sided love. Why did you have to be so selfish? Why did you have to cling upon me? I was so pure, my heart was a virgin, Devoid and naive of all the hurt and scars That come along the feeling of love. For me love was something beautiful, And i waited to experience the butterflies in stomach, Until you came, and ruined my perfect dream. You made me see the worst that Can love can offer. Oh love! Why did you become the villain in my love story . But I won't let the negativity That you have offered me, Grip the best of my thoughts. Because now that i look at the sweeter side of yours I realize, that maybe you were just a little lost kid, Who was in search of a caring and loving heart, Or a heart who was waiting to be loved, To feel the warmth of it. You were looking for a mother, To nurture you, to keep you safe. And now after spending all these years With you, just like two strongly bonded allies, Like mother and child, i feel connected to you. No matter how much you exhaust my thoughts and heart, when i close my eyes all i can see is you, me and a calm dusky evening.
