From the story titled 'Golden time' (Webtoon/Manhwa)

This is the memory a of conversation between a father (king of a country) and his daughter (heir/princess of that country/protagonist). She is reminded of her late father's words amidst naval warfare between two countries and one of which is commanded by her. After remembering her dad's words she gives an important command and eventually makes them victorious.

Aside from the fact that his words of wisdom are enlightenment worthy, the entire conversation between a parent and a child is pure gold and the fact that she is reminded of the past and her father's wise words when she's in a pickle, simply.. warms my heart.

In the quiet corners of the heart, where soft whispers grow and sadness starts,

There lives a creature with dark, cold eyes, feeding on the soul as it sighs.

With gentle hands, we give our peace, hoping for a comforting release,

But in return, we only find pain, as the creature loves with a binding chain.

Through every test, we keep going, in the creature's twisting, confusing fog,

Hoping our care might heal the hurts we hide, the rules we gently push aside.

The creature smiles with sharp teeth wide, as we lay our trust down by its side,

It accepts our gift, our struggle and fight, and loves us back with a painful bite.

Yet time will show the heart the way, that love shouldn't make us pay,

And kindness shared shouldn't cause a wound, nor leave us in a troubled ground.

So hear the story of the quiet plea, to love more than the hurt we see,

For true love is honest, without deceit, and never asks for a receipt of pain.

Its been a while since I have been able to express myself so openly through writing. I am starting to understand the therapeutic effects that literature can have on the mind. I've spent so long running towards the goal of a degree that I forgot the other things that I am passionate about, like words and stories, the peeking into another's brain. Its beautiful to come back to your roots to grow in a new direction ❤❤❤

I’ve lived a thousand lives through my heroines’ eyes.

I’d been all over the world with them, falling in love with my book guy friends, having my heart broken by them.
