googiekitch recently posted something about underrated design styles n it got me thinking about this certain design language seen in like spanish haute couture tops from the late 90s early 2000s ? i don't think these types of designs are talked about enough - especially since tiktoks's retconned early 2000s fashion to be skater and mcbling aesthetics, and these tops kindof fall outside of that. I find these brands charity shopping all the time n think they're super fun. want to know if there's a proper name for this design style, because there seems to be little information for that online

these are just brands i know of that use this style - there could be more. paramita, I know for a fact does have more tops that feature less abstracted female figures, these are just the only ones I could find online and are a bit more abstracted than custo

Writing advice from my uni teachers:

If your dialog feels flat, rewrite the scene pretending the characters cannot at any cost say exactly what they mean. No one says “I’m mad” but they can say it in 100 other ways.

Wrote a chapter but you dislike it? Rewrite it again from memory. That way you’re only remembering the main parts and can fill in extra details. My teacher who was a playwright literally writes every single script twice because of this.

Don’t overuse metaphors, or they lose their potency. Limit yourself.

Before you write your novel, write a page of anything from your characters POV so you can get their voice right. Do this for every main character introduced.
