ShoreShot, is a performing artist/songwriter/lyricist hailing from the Garden State of NJ. The communication major graduated from Western Carolina University and did shows on and off campus throughout North Carolina in his time there as a college student. In July of 2010, ShoreShot released his debut album entitled "Slowly but Shorely", which was quickly adopted as an underground soundtrack along the Jersey Shore that summer. Linking up with NJ-based singer/producer, EWald, shortly afterwards, the two hit the studio and began collaborating on ShoreShot's sophomore offering. The result was "The ProgreSS Report (2012)" - a melodic and dynamic journey of HipPopSoulRock rooted in diversity, crowned with originality, and laced with talent. It's a 20 track rocket ship that will take you wherever you want to go, powered by undeniable hits like "One Request (DJ)" and "Steal Her". In 2013, ShoreShot released a Hurricane Sandy Relief record featuring EWald and the ROBMS (Russell O Brackman Middle School l Barnegat, NJ) chorus called, "Sho Love". The song was created to benefit local families badly affected by the superstorm, where 100% of the online mp3/single proceeds were donated by ShoreShot to Holy Family St. Vincent de Paul Society in Union Beach, NJ. ShoreShot teamed up with faculty and students from several local elementary and middle schools, including West Belmar Elementary School (Belmar, NJ), Central Elementary School (Wall, NJ), and Emma Havens Elementary School (Brick, NJ). By a joint effort, ShoreShot was able to help coordinate fundraisers with each school, and donate more proceeds to local hurricane victims. In August 2015, ShoreShot unleashed his third album entitled, "Return of the Tide," highlighted by instrumentation from hip hop blapmaster Illmind (producer for Eminem, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Joell Ortiz, etc) and Eric G from 9th Wonder's Soul Council (producer for Sean Price, Rapsody, L.O.X, etc). When Jay Mack first heard, "Captain," it was 2022, and the song was still incomplete. I initially sent him a rough draft of what Erich and I had recorded up to that point. Once he had the rough cut in his possession, he pressed me for a third verse as often as he could. I assured him I was working on one. He said, "Let me know when it's all done, I got an idea for it!"
Fast forward to 2024 and you get to witness that very concept from Jay, brought to life, in the manner in which he envisioned it. When him and Timmy Sramowitz sent me the image they were going to paint, I was speechless.
I had to reach out to Jimmy Giambrone, so he could capture this creative process at the Mural Maker studio in Toms River, NJ. Having Slimbo on set to shoot and edit this video was a must for all of us. His style of cinematography sets the scene like no other.
The mix-mastering Champ, Matty Horant, popped in to rhyme a few of his favorite scriptures. He plays a vital part of the masterpiece. He has mastered every song of ours for the past decade, not just this one. Here's a brother/audio engineer who's not in the spotlight or even out for the shine, yet keeps the vocals and instruments radio ready every time.
The day Erich 'Off The' Wald tailored the instrumental bed as I recorded the third verse was an unforgettable session. The additional chords he implemented. The organ. The dropouts. Everything fell into place/play perfectly, and we just knew we had something special. Those were the final adjustments made before the Field Day album was bounced/sent off for digital release/physical manufacturing.
This video is such a tremendous blessing to be able to present. To collaborate with Jay Mack and Timmy is a dream come true. To glorify the one Who gave us all of our talents and got us through ... that's just giving the credit where all the credit is due.

Several middle school chorus students from Russell O Brackman Middle School in Barnegat, NJ, came up with an idea to create a song for cancer awareness, to encourage those battling this awful disease, and give those fighters and their families a light in their dark times.
The song is entitled, “STRONG,” by the ROBMS Chorus featuring eWald and ShoreShot. The YouTube video was produced by A and L Graphics, released on May 18th, and is a must see/must hear. The MP3 is currently available to purchase on Amazon and to stream on Spotify.
All online proceeds generated from this incredible song are being donated to Ocean Of Love, a charity organization in Toms River, NJ, who financially and emotionally assist local children suffering from cancer in Ocean County NJ. There is also a, “STRONG” tee-shirt you can purchase where all proceeds will go to Ocean of Love as well. http://strong.artist-tees.com/
The song was written and produced by the students, Erich Wald, and Patrick Whelan aka ShoreShot. “Strong” aired on B98.5, the Jersey Shore’s only hit music station, and it continues to keep gaining momentum from local media for all the right reasons.
A lot of people have negative things to say about the next generation of kids these days. This should put a new paint job on things.
