absolutely!! both art and writing (i have a sequel planned and the first chapter halfway done) i am just the slowest oc parent in the history of ever since i'm always preoccupied with hyperfixations. there's definitely more to come though... they're my darling children...!

2024 FIC YEAR IN REVIEW

Total number of completed works: 174

Total word count: 459,072, though some of that carried over from a big multichapter fic from last year and i don't feel like calculating how much, lol

Fandoms written in: dungeon meshi absolutely ruled my life for a majority of the year, but there was still quite a few marvel comics fics (specifically x-men), too. in the latter half of the year i relapsed into kuroko no basket because i randomly chose to rewatch (lol). currently my big thing is blue lock, but i have only gotten into it (fic writing wise) december, so that's really new.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected?: normal amount. looks higher though bcuz of the 3sf fics i did.

What’s your own favorite story of the year?: ah here we go. as always picking out a selection (it was sooo hard for me to pick): salt air, i'm bored easily and you'll meet somebody else, and then i'll go and spoil it all (explicit), give me one good honest kiss, and i'll be alright, in this circle of hell, don't you know there's a coffin buried under the garden?, Daffodil, keep right where you are, 'cause i've followed this far, old habits die screaming, i always wanted to die clean and pretty, don't wanna break it, just want it to bend (explicit), but your innocence is mine, and when you get a taste, can you tell me what's my flavor?, this isn't what you want, it's only how you feel, gettin' off on bad behavior, lovin' you seems tiring, nobody's home, three, two, one, go, it's typical, i fear and i'm sorry i'm the one you love (no one will ever love me like you again)

Did you take any writing risks this year?: i don't know that i'd describe it as a risk, per se, but this year i forced myself to accept that writing fics late for events is fine and to stop torturing myself (mostly) about perceived deadlines and rules that just do not matter. still a work in progress.

Do you have any fanfic goals for the new year?: continue on with that very same realization, lol.

Most popular story of the year?: i finally finished my original story Stardust Days this year, which has always been really popular (thank you everyone!!!) so that's big on top. for oneshots, or, well, something that i actually completely wrote this year (though a oneshot it is, too), there's lost in your current like a priceless wine, which almost made my favorites list, so.

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: a lot of the kuroko no basket stuff (pretty dead fandom), and most of my erimela ship (extreme rarepair). i had fun with it, though. i'll put spider blues on here because it also almost made my favorites list.

Most fun story to write: had a lot of fun writing platonic, non-weird christmas fun because it's just very silly. i don't write a lot of silly stuff (lol), perhaps i should do that more.

Most unintentionally telling story: i'm sorry i'm the one you love (no one will ever love me like you again). no further comment.

Biggest disappointment: did not finish whumptober in time... but i clutched it in time for new year's, so it's okay.

Biggest surprise: the return of yaoi (lol). i am usually a het & yurishipper pretty much exclusively and the only yaoi that has ever been able to consistently get me is sports manga yaoi, and i fell back into just that hardcore this year.
