Kitten update: i think i'm getting both of these. Naruto and ??? no name yet.

I wanted an older unsocial cat that needed a new home. I never wanted kittens. If I did, i would have gone for my favourite in this litter that I fell hard for from the beginning but he got picked fast due to his colour. Then I thought, ok, I'll get one kitten and then an older cat to help raise it. and now..... it seems I'll have two kittens.

wouldn't it be funny if i decided to not get a cat at all after all of this

I dont think my orange kitten Naruto will be happy living indoors, he's very dominant and takes so much space that it feels like he should be outdoors (my sister had an orange kitten who screamed about going outdoors so she gave him away so he could, i dont want to risk doing that too)

So i changed my kitten to his brother, but now i feel so bad

I loved my Naruto and i cant even think of a name for this other one. He's much calmer so might be more suitable indoors. I like his beige colour better even though Naruto has some cool stripes, but he's no Naruto. Should i take Naruto back??? I wish i could buy both but they're ridiculously expensive for unplanned barn cats, i'd never if it werent that theyre my favourite cat's babies and i love them and have known them from 9 hours old

Also new kitten has a sensitive eye, you can kinda see it in this pic. Dont know if that will be an issue or if he's just sensitive to the horse bedding. Any thoughts on that?

Mom is getting really bad, both mentally and overall health

So fucking scary how quickly it's gone

And she's crying and wanting to be treated as an adult who can take care of herself and make her own choices and i get it's so scary with changes like this, i already know from my own head injury

But mom please you actually forget stuff, like really important safety things

We siblings and nieces are helping her with her bills (she's an accountant who's always been so focused on paying bills! And now so many are unpaid because she forgot) and helping to get her registered for a special type of "taxi" to transport her for a small fee, so we're also talking of selling her car because she shouldnt drive anymore

And she's been talking about these things when she was still feeling ok so she knows it's coming but it still feels shitty making plans behind her back, but she's so stubborn she would just fight us on this but she can kill people if she forgets things while driving - i forgot to check the traffic lights when i started driving again so yeah i fucking know from experience how a damaged head is unreliable especially in traffic with a constant need to focus

And omg she's lost so much weight there's nothing left. I think i've said that before but it's even worse now as if that was even possible??!! She gets a diabetes medicine for the kidneys or heart i think, and that one has the bad side effects of losing appetite and losing weight and like is it even worth it??? To feel and look that bad, not feeling like herself in that way either??????

Fuckkk i never want to get old. I remember my first coherent thought after waking up from my riding crash feeling so upset and distraught that i hadnt died. I dont want to live through this with mom and losing her and risk a shitty end too if i get to that age
