cartman is canonically a horrible human being. he is presented as such. what he does is wrong. the show itself deems his actions wrong. they are also completely out of the norm and often represent not actual people but beliefs society has about them and disrespect it shows to groups. this is the character who turned into hitler at some point. this is the character who pretended to be disabled. this is the character who treats aids as a joke. if you honestly take his shitty behaviour as a means to justify labelling people as “transtrenders” and as proof that nonbinary people are “not real” or “not trans enough” or “just do it for attention”, seriously overthink your life choices. you missed the point of the show, the point of the character, the point of satire and either way, you should be ashamed of yourself for invalidating other people’s identity based on a fucking cartoon. read a book, go outside, pet a dog. do something useful instead of harassing/mocking people on the internet.

No, okay, but.

Randy tells Stan that the way he explores the person he is deep down is by writing songs in the bathroom- and then singing on stage and everything but, the basic gist is he tells stan that thats something he does to explore his identity on the inside, even if it doesn’t match the outside.

i really and truly believe the end bit, with stan singing in the bathroom, was him taking that to heart and taking the first step in truly exploring his own identity and comfort.

hes racist, queerphobic, sexist and more. hes representative of everything wrong with society

since hes such a twat, the viewers not going to agree with him at all

it shows that ONLY FUCKING IDIOTS would do something like that. its a terrible thing to do, and anyone who does that is a bad person, and of course not actually trans, just a fucking dickhead

thats why cartman did it. cartman does all the wrong things. hes representative of everything terrible in society

thats why its satirical. cartmans a spoilt little brat and does all the wrong things to get what he wants. thats his character. he does bad things, and all the stuff he does is bad, and the creators want people to know that

and if the viewer seriously thinks cartman doing something like this is supporting the idea that trans women are cis men trying to get into private spaces

In what universe is a cis man/boy pretending to be a trans woman/girl to use public women’s bathrooms satire, when this is literally something that trans women are accused of in real life all the time to the point of it being a widespread belief that puts their lives in danger??

Really I would like to know how this meets the definition of satire, cos repackaging the same prejudice that already exists in society and animating it does not constitute satire.
