Undoing Yourself for Fun & Profit

A mini-tutorial on a couple of tricks with ctrl+Z:

"Oh no! I placed this object off the grid to my exact specifications but it's at the wrong height! Now I'll have to tediously put it back in place if I want to fix it 😔"

FEAR NOT! Height-shifting is not undone with ctrl+Z. So you can just do this:

MAKE SURE you have placed the object before you hit ctrl+Z!! If you hit ctrl+Z while the object is still selected, it will reset its height, which can break the appearance of certain objects if they're too big.

Tip number two:

"Oh no! I accidentally picked up my door or window and now it's like this! I'll have to painstakingly replace all my decorations after I fix it 😔"

Not so! After you fix the door, you can just use ctrl+Z to put all the decorations back where they were without breaking the door again, like so:

If you pick up the door and it's not fixed, place it down and then hit ctrl+Z (even if it looks like nothing moved) before you keep moving things out of the way.

I know some of you will already know this, but some of you might not, and it's been such a time-saver for me when decorating or fixing lots!

Hey all! Reblogging this butcher kiosk that I posted a while ago. A few months ago, when @fireflowersims notified me about their template being used, i updated the credits to credit them for being the original creators of the code/kiosk template. Their template was stolen and distributed and that really is unfortunate, which I expressed to them in private message as well a few months ago. Just wanted to clear that up in any case!

Back to my hiatus, happy simming folks!

Functional Butcher Kiosk!

I wanted to have a butcher shop in my game, where sims could go and purchase stockable food items that look like packaged meat. I don’t have any families in mind to run it, and I’m not really into that kind of raising cattle gameplay. I also don’t have an owned grocery store, so I can’t mark the stockable meat for sale on the lot.

@sissysims released a phenomenal beginner friendly tutorial on how to make custom kiosks. so I used her tutorial, hopped in SIMPE and made a butcher meat kiosk. The fun part is the meat you’re seeing on the shelves is just deco. The Decra Chill Shelf is actually a “fake” one. And I used it as the mesh for my kiosk! So when I click on the DecraChill, the menu pops up to ask if I want to purchase the meats 😭

This is so amazing, I was so proud when it worked 🥲
