A Minnesota teenager filed a charge of discrimination against a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant Tuesday, alleging a server followed her into the women’s restroom and demanded she “prove” she was a girl.

Gerika Mudra, 18, went to dinner in April with a friend in Owatonna, about an hour south of Minneapolis. When she went to the restroom, a server followed her inside and banged on the stall door while saying: “This is a women’s restroom. The man needs to get out of here,” according to Gender Justice, a Minnesota gender-equality organization that filed the charge on Mudra’s behalf.

Something that's happening wrt the transandrophobia tags and the conversation around that, which makes me both incredibly frustrated and upset, is that every single day it skews more and more toward pointless discourse rather than actual discussion of transmasc issues and contributions to theory.

When I first started engaging in theory around transandrophobia, this absolutely wasn't the case. The backlash against it wasn't justified whatsoever; people were really just trying to talk about their issues and put a spotlight on the erasure we face. But now I'm starting to see actual harmful things people are spreading (by both detractors of transandrophobia and those that support the theory). There's more radfems popping up faster than I can block them.

And it sucks, and the part that hurts the most is that this means the bigots have won. They have successfully stopped us from taking about our real material issues with language we want, they've obfuscated the discussion so incredibly well that the only thing that is happening is the discussion around the discussion, which feeds into a self-fulfilling loop of "see, these people are just talking about how much they hate trans women" because that is where these people have intentionally pushed the conversation.

Anyway, if you, like me, are sick of this petty shit and want an actual place to continue to constructively discuss transandrophobia and anti-transmasculinity, I've got a discord server for that purpose. A few of us are even trying to construct our own framework and theory around where transmascs and trans men fit into feminism, with the goal of writing about that.

We sometimes have weekly discussion topics, and we have a book club as well. We also have lists of resources with free download links.

anxious to even be making this post but i am just so scared and upset. a lot of people think this is just a "trend" going around on tumblr, reddit, or even tiktok but its genuinely not. the friends in my trans social circles are apparently saying disgusting things about trans men now too. please stop telling people that this is just an online situation because it's most certainly not. ive had disgusting things said about me to my face simply for being trans from other trans people. im tired of being labeled in derogatory ways simply for setting boundaries or for not feeling safe around those who hate trans men like myself. i genuinely feel uncomfortable in almost all trans spaces not just because of the name calling but because i know with absolute certainty that this community wouldn't be there for me or my trans brothers if we needed help. it seems like a lot of people would rather watch us drown while calling us "whining little theyfab bitches" instead of throwing us a float. i am tired.

being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?

The entire narrative of Lilo being at risk of being taken away by CPS was a clear incorporation of the US Governments history of destroying indigenous families via kidnapping. It was incredibly on the nose criticism of the history AND PRESENT of American imperialism against the native indigenous population.

And supposedly the live action movie just. Is pro American imperialism? It ends with the indigenous child being stolen away from the only family she has left?

trans women have as much systemic power and privilege over trans men, as trans men have over trans women, which is absolutely none

we wouldn't even be in this situation if cis radfems wouldn't have spread their poison in queer spaces

they are trying to make us fight each other just so we can forget to fight them. and the worst thing? they're fucking succeeding

don't let them convince u that our own trans sisters are our enemy, they are not and will never be. if we don't have each other's backs in times like this no one will

as a follow up to previous pride month post, shouting into the aether again: it was never the femme trans men or masc trans women or enby folks that were the reason we were denied rights. it was never the folks using xe/xem or fae/faers that are the reason why ppl hate the community. it was never the ppl who use xenogenders or what have u that are why things are so royally FUCKED rn. the reason we are still getting anti lgbtq bills passed to this day is bc of transphobic assholes. to them, its all js a scapegoat to keep finding reasons to disrespect anyone until theres none of us left. u do no favors trying to be "one of the good ones".
