Ever since I read the Ministry of Health’s report in Gaza stating that “1,500 Palestinians lost their sight due to the Israeli aggression,” I’ve been asking myself:
What does it mean for 1,500 people to lose the light in their eyes just like that?
What does it mean when the occupation robs you of light in a war that sees no justice?
What does it mean to live in unending darkness, where life begins with touch, with a cane, with stumbling, with heartbreak, with oppression?
This isn’t just another number on a list of statistics this is the darkness of the soul, you heartless monsters.

How can they bomb the very stones that preserve our names, that know how deeply we love those alleys?
For me, the occupation’s bombing of what remains of the old city of Gaza is a personal pain how can I bear the destruction of our past and our present?

Since this morning, the Israeli occupation army has turned Gaza into a human slaughterhouse, making up for the relative calm during the early days of the war on Iran. The courtyards of Al-Shifa and Al-Ahli Baptist hospitals have become morgues, filled with mutilated bodies and echoing with cries of farewell.
Entire residential blocks in Jabalia were leveled on top of their residents. Dozens of tents and gatherings were bombed, with displaced people burned to death. Around 100 martyrs have arrived since the morning, and a similar number remain trapped under the rubble, unreachable by medical teams.
Meanwhile, the people wander hungry and lost through empty markets, searching for a glimmer of hope a break in a sky that holds no death, no hunger.

This wasn’t our first disconnection from the world from the internet, from social media. It wasn’t our first forced isolation from voice and image. They did this to us in the early months of the aggression against Gaza. Mobile phones became nothing more than “Atari” games in the hands of children.
The internet blackout in Gaza isn’t just a technical failure it’s intentional. They want us to die in silence, to vanish without a trace. But from the darkness of our nights, we kept sending messages, watching the light rise in Gaza’s sky and strike their hearts with a single burn cooling the fire in ours.
Every time they try to erase Gaza from existence, she returns bringing a curse that haunts them right where they sleep.

When five hospitals in Gaza were completely destroyed, the world fell silent as if the bombings never happened, as if the lives of the patients were not human lives.
But the moment Soroka Hospital suffered minor damage, Netanyahu, Katz, and Avichay rushed out shouting "war crime."
What kind of justice is this? What humanity chooses who deserves to live and who doesn’t?
This is not just hypocrisy, but the peak of moral decline, where Palestinian blood is worthless and suffering echoes unheard.

Journalist Siraj Abudayeh ( @siraj0), who lost everything in November 2023, wanted his story to be shared.
Tumblr media
After almost two years of genocide, through which he got displaced multiple times, he finally had the chance to return home in the North. Now, once again he faces the danger of artillery shells and bombs and has to evacuate as the area has been marked for attack.
Please donate and boost; do what you can do to help. Chuffed campaign allows you to donate as low as €1 euro. Remember, that food is also scarce and really these campaigns are lifelines for families like Siraj's , where all twenty four members depend on the fundraiser.
Also, credit to Gazan artist Mohammed Al-Haj’s piece from his Displacement series for reference and inspiration in the first panel. The piece speaks volumes to the loss and desolation of such an experience, and it is something that no one can truly fathom unless they have been a victim of it themselves. I highly encourage people to go and support him as well.

With a heavy heart, I write these words…
The campaign I launched to save my family is facing a wall of silence, despite the hunger, tragedy, and collapse we are living through. It's not enough that people watch us die slowly… they pass by as if we’re not even struggling to survive.
The reality in Gaza can't wait.
Every day without support means my children grow weaker, the famine worsens, and danger grows.
What hurts even more is that some see, read, and stay silent… as if we’re not human, as if our children don’t deserve to live.
I’m not writing this for pity, but for survival.
If you won’t act today, then when? When we’re already buried?
Please don’t be part of this deadly silence.
Every bit of support, every share, every word could make a difference before it’s too late.

In Gaza, no voice is louder than the sound of bombing. Nothing is harsher than hunger. Communications are cut off, the world is gone, and we are left alone to face death. Children cry out in hunger, mothers are helpless, and homes are collapsing over our dreams. We appeal to you: Be our voice, support us, speak up for us, don't leave us alone in this hunger, silence, and bombing.

My family is starting to get frustrated with what's happening.
In Gaza,
famine has reached its peak..
Tumblr media
Flour has become a rare commodity, with most aid shipments looted by armed gangs or seized by starving civilians before reaching humanitarian organizations. Consequently, flour is sold in markets at exorbitant prices, ranging from 300 to500 per 25 kg bag, making it unaffordable for most families. Children are suffering from severe malnutrition, with nearly every child at risk of famine. Bakeries have shut down, and markets are empty.
I appeal to you for assistance. Any support or sharing of this message could make a difference. Your help could save lives. Thank you.

On the last day only €5 this way my family won't be able to afford food.😥
Israel has bombed the last remaining main fibre-optic route, thereby cutting off the majority of the Gaza Strip from having an internet access. Right now only those who have esims, will be able to come online and that too only for a limited amount of time. The updates coming in from Gaza now is going to be sparser, so I encourage everyone to diligently keep an eye out on updates. Also please keep circulating and donating to personal fundraisers. It has been two days since I last spoke to me friend, the journalist, Siraj Abudayeh ( @siraj0 ). The last time we spoke his primary concern was if he would be able to afford even a single bag of flour to feed all the twenty three members of his family. I would request you to not forget about him, and of other Gazan families who have been using social media as a primary tool to survive through this genocide. It is very important, that in a situation like this, we who have access to the Internet and hence to the whole wide world, keep boosting and campaigning for the fundraisers.

Up until this moment, I haven't been able to afford flour for my family. I try, I search, I ask for help... but hunger always precedes me. A loaf of bread has become a distant dream, and my children go to bed hungry every night. I ask for your support or participation, perhaps someone will extend a helping hand to us in this harsh darkness. 💔

recently israel bombed the last remaining fibre-optic route in gaza, cutting off internet access to the entire gaza strip.
my friend @siraj0 abudayeh lost his only source of income. like many gazans, he relies on online donations from people abroad to afford the basic necessities of life. prior to the blackout, donations had stalled so much he now struggles to afford a single bag of flour for his entire family of 24 and has gone days without eating.
every day the occupation continues it becomes more urgent to donate. please consider donating to him and other gazans rn
siraj is verified at line 219 - donate here
also donate to crips for esims for gaza to keep us all connected. they set up and maintain the esim for you. you can also directly buy and send an esim to any palestinians on my blog or in your notifs
[chuffed is a reliable donation site--crips for esims for gaza has been using it since the beginning and the sameer project uses it too. they openly promote palestinian fundraisers and have not unjustly terminated any, unlike gofundme.]

🌾 "Over 100 a day… just for bread!" 🌾
📍 The story of a family suffering in silence...
In a sweltering tent under the burning sun, a family is worn down by hunger and despair:
👴 A father crushed by helplessness
👵 A mother hiding her tears to stay strong
👦👦👦 Children with fading faces… no bread, no food, only hunger
🥖 Bread the simplest need has become a dream.
Its daily cost exceeds100. Even the public kitchens are nearly impossible to reach.
If you manage to get there, the crowds might trample you, or you risk being burned by the hot food in the chaos.
💔 Bread here is not a luxury… it’s survival.
🎯 Our plea:
Help us keep this family alive — even a share makes a difference.
Every act of support revives hope for the hungry.

The ship *Madeleine* will not lift the suffocating siege on Gaza, but those on board have fulfilled their duty and cleared the burden of silence from themselven in a world where mighty armies control the land, sea, and sky, yet remain subdued and muzzled, unmoved by the cries of the oppressed. And so… peace.
Tumblr media
The Madleen aid activists have been forcefully taken off the flotilla and into israeli custody.
Latest video published Monday 9th June, 1.30am GMT, from Yasmine Acar.
They have not been taken in. They have been kidnapped.
