Imagine cuddly Remus but like he wasn't always like that.

Imagine first year Remus freaking out anytime anyone got too close because he doesn't get physical affection at home (in my head his dad avoids him and is disgusted and scared of him and his mom is sweet but his dad got to her ya know and so she's always weary) so anyway he doesn't want anyone to touch him.

So second year he gets a little more used to the boys and Lily sitting close and James' and Lily's random hugs although they still freak him out.

Third year hes scared of them touching him because they would be disgusted if they knew what he was.

But then there's 4th year and Sirius starts getting all touchy feely because James has rubbed off on him and Remus is like ¿I? ¿dont? ¿mind? and so now Sirius is the only person he isn't scared/nervous to touch but he still doesn't start hugs or anything. And this year is when they find out about Moony and the night they find out and everyone tells him they don't care Sirius stays and sleeps in his bed with him

Then there's fifth year and he has begun starting hugs (the first time he did it James and Sirius had been in the middle of an argument and Remus just came up and sat in front of Sirius and just hugged him tightly and Sirius just stopped talking and just hugged him back and James is like wHaT???) So hes been more touchy feely with everyone especially Lily and Sirius.

Sixth year Remus and Sirius start dating and that makes him spiral again and now he's super self conscious and hates when people touch him again. This lasts roughly two and a half weeks before Sirius sits him down and they talk and Sirius is like I love everything about you and I would like to hug my boyfriend now and Remus is like sorry and Sirius just rolls his eyes and shakes his head and hugs him tightly.

Seventh year he just hugs and leans against and is just always touching someone. Sirius and him share a bed (Sirius' is purely there to hold his stuff) and Remus is just super outgoing (thanks to James, Sirius, and Lily even though lily would argue her part)

And anyway I just really love Remus' whole dont touch me progress

James is Snape’s abuser? But what happened to “he never lost a chance to hex James”? Or how he tried to expose Remus for being a werewolf? Or the fact that he was racist? Or that he called Lily a slur? And that’s all just at Hogwarts. I’m not even going to talk about how Snape is directly responsible for James and Lily’s death.

This is just beautiful..

I so desperately want to read and write about their daily life. About how they lived, how they struggled. About how they studied for exams together, which was probably all of them relying on Remus’s notes.. About how they behaved around each other versus when they were by themselves! About how they laughed and cried together... I find it so sad that You-Know-Who rather profited of the Harry Potter world by violating her OWN canon and ruining characters arcs (...Cedric...) than give the readers what so many wanted forever! Ugh I’ll just keep reading the amazing „fanfictions“ (which are basically novels and actually well written)

I‘m currently reading @riseofthephoenixscreenplay but does anyone have a good (loooong) fanfic to recommend? (Wolfstar is always welcome)

Whenever someone said the word “werewolf”, Remus’ heart would race. He would feel like someone punched him in the stomach. He felt himself slow down as the worst possible outcomes flood his mind.

Whenever someone raised their hand or raised their voice, Sirius’ heart would race. He would flinch and back away. His hands would shake and he would feel like he’s back at home and being punished.

Whenever someone made fun of him, James’ heart would race. He wasn’t used to being humiliated. He would feel like someone dumped ice cold water on his back. His hand would clench and scar his palms.

They’re Marauders. They’re hell raisers and wizards. They’re as wild as a fire and as passionate as a storm. They’re unstoppable and unbreakable. They love too hard and laugh too loud. But they’re still boys. They’re still human.
