here's a headcanon bc im getting ready for abiball (graduation prom) rn: mary cares the most about abiball, simply because she wants to dress up and look outerworldly pretty. marlene (even though she denies it) cares a lot about her grades and her academic performance and abiball feels like the end of an era to her. she doesn't tell anyone though, only starts quietly panicking when anyone talks about the event.

lily is like meh. is content there but only buys her dress the day before the event + is v chill

sirius hates it because he doesn't want to go anywhere with his family and they definitely want to dramatically turn up at the event w him. james is positively excited at the prospect of a sponsored night out w all his friends.

remus def has a panick attaxk beforehand for no reason at all. feels like a burden for no reason. does has fun and is surprised abt it. peter is just there to take shots with his teachers.
