Genuine question, why do think the people protesting Netanyahu aren't Israeli? You realize there are plenty of Israelis who despise and hate what Netanyahu and his government has done? Was Netanyahu the Prime minister in 1948 when the Nakba happened? No. Was Netanyahu the PM in 1967 when “Israel” occupied even more territories? No. Was he the PM for the 62 years of occupation during which he was not the PM?

The majority of the settlers who are protesting against Netanyahu are not protesting for the liberation of Palestine but to go back to the previous status quo. They are not protesting because they care but because they are seeing that Netanyahu makes it impossible for them to pretend to be good guys like they used to.

82% of the Israelis are in favor of ethnic cleansing, they are okay with the forced expulsion of every single Palestinian from Gaza. Given the number of Palestinians with the Israeli citizenship (a second class citizenship) 82% means that pretty much EVERY SINGLE Israelis who is not actually a 1948 Palestinian is in favor of ethnic cleansing Gaza. More than half (56%) of the Israelis are in favor of the ethnic cleansing of ALL Palestinians including those who have the Israeli citizenship. Again if you take into account the number of Palestinians with the citizenship and remove them from the 44% who are against ethnic cleansing (because they obviously don’t want to be forced to leave Palestine), it goes from 56% to 70%. 70% of the Israelis who are not actually 1948 Palestinians are in favor of the ethnic cleansing of every single Palestinian from ALL of the territory.

Lastly, the very small minority of settlers who actually want change and want a free Palestine where they could live alongside Palestinians with equal rights for everyone, explained that they have no power and represent at most 0.1% of the population. They even freaking asked to NOT be used as a way to absolve all of Israel of its crimes since it was created by colonizers.

Hey guys, I wanted to tell you about the Ihyaa' initiative. My friend Mohammed Ayesh, who's been our vetter on the ground in Ghazzah for the last year or so, wants to make a space and provide resources for University students to complete their studies in a proper learning environment, along with providing food parcels, stationary, and other essentials. You may have heard of the Isnad initiative! It's very similar to the Ihyaa' initiative but it's located elsewhere. They had to find the right room to use as a classroom for the Ihyaa' initiative and they're going to be paying rent of 2000$ for it. Mohammed Ayesh has informed me that starting on Monday this rent will begin.

University students are the foundation of a better and rebuilt Ghazzah! If you want to help Ghazzah rebuild, this is one of the first steps you can start assisting with.

In 1955 (with a generalization in 1957) during the Algerian war of liberation, France created multiple “no-go/buffer zones” in Algeria. Anyone, human or animal, no matter the age, gender or reason, who was found in these areas was executed. The built about 2000 concentration camps in these areas and “invited” the population in these camps. It was either the concentration camp or execution (and the concentration camp also came with death). The reason the French gave to explain it all was to make it easier for the French to target the ALN without targeting the civilians (a lie again as you’ll see later) and to protect the civilian from being used as human shields by the ALN (which never happened) and also protect civilians from being forced to support the ALN (that forced support also never happened). They also presented it as a way to modernize the rural villages of Algeria and make them more “modern” and “nice” for the people (again a lie)

They built a couple of them nicely with actual houses so the propaganda pics for the rest of the world would look nice. But the majority of these camps were actually tents villages surrounded by barbed wires and controlled by French soldiers. Some were allowed to build dirt houses if they had the skills. The French also called them “regrouping villages” and “safe zones for civilians” cause calling them concentration camps would have been too obvious and kept them from denying what was happening. Especially just a decade after WW2.

They displaced a total of 3.5 millions Algerians (40% of the Algerian population) and 2.4 millions of them were put in these “safe zones for civilians”. The displaced were almost exclusively from rural villages that the French had destroyed before or after the forced displacement.

The food distribution in these camps, was controlled by France who not only didn’t bring in enough food for people to be healthy on purpose but also conditioned the distribution to how submissive and obedient the population was and even then they would give just enough to avoid starvation but not enough to avoid severe malnutrition. The death rate in these camps (especially for babies and during childbirth) was much higher than in the rest of Algeria. In some cases, the French also used these concentration camps to threaten the women and children and force the men into fighting against the revolution. They would also blast propaganda messages on speakers for Algerians to hear them hoping they would blame the ALN for their suffering.

At the end of the war of liberation 87% of the people who survived were unable to take care of themselves (financially but also physically and psychically) and were supported by the Algerian government until they got better…

I’m saying all of that because this is happening again right now in Gaza as we speak. People are more uncomfortable with using the term of concentration camp than they are with what’s happening. Once again colonizers are creating concentration camps for the indigenous people and giving them a different name. Pretending it’s to help and protect the indigenous people. Once again colonizers are creating a situation where aid is needed and then weaponizing it.

But you know how it ended? With the liberation of Algeria. With the settlers leaving the fuck out. And you know why it ended that way? Because Algerians fought but also because people put pressure on France. So if you are not Palestinian your job is to NOT give up and feel hopeless. Your job is to keep fighting with all you have. “Israel” is letting some of the aid trucks cross the but then they don’t allow them reach the UN warehouses to be able to distribute the food and aid Palestinians need. So while officially some trucks entered Gaza the reality is that “Israel” is still blocking much needed food and aid under the nose of the whole world.

Every day I learn about how something racist that became institutionalized normalized and legal started out in France and every day I learn that if started out against Algerians only and I’m reminded of how much France hates us…

Today it’s the detention centers for immigrants (CRA). At first it was one single illegal detention center for Algerians only (including Algerians who were in France legally) keeping them there before sending them to Algeria… one day they kidnapped a Moroccan man who was in France legally. They tried to deport him but a lawyer intervened and the man told his lawyer about the detention center where he had been kept. The illegal detention center came to light and people started protesting against that… the government (left included which is why I don’t trust the French “socialists”) reacted by saying that the detention center wasn’t a detention center but just a housing place where immigrants were free to come and go (it was a lie) and they actually created the detention centers (CRA) we know of today…
