hi angels! i hope you all are doing okay. I know that literally one person apart from @jj-one might read this but i still wanted to officially say it.

i will be taking an indefinite hiatus from writing. this decision is for my own well-being since there has been more personal things i have to deal with in my life. i’m not quiting ( lol ) i could never do that. writing is my form of expression and i litr love doing it?? but it has been taking up my time from things i should be focusing on.

i won’t be disappearing from here, i need to read some bomb fics too ya know. but i won’t be posting for a while.

officially got scammed 😔

LMAO DW GUYS i was tryna buy the dr althea cream and i saw one for a cheaper price and checked the reviews and thought it looked fine. Ive used the cream before so I recognize the texture and scent. When i tried on the new one, the color was off but my naïve ass was like “oh it’s probs just this one” and still used it on my fucking face. The smell was weird cause it felt like chemically??? so i was like uhhh maybe i DID get scammed. So i went on tiktok and searched “fake dr althea cream” and BOOM i got scammed 😭 the packaging is so believable and i even checked the reviews before buying. I’m glad that it’s not something i spent a large amount of money from but still it’s not a good feeling ( cause im always so aware )

i washed my face and lift reapplied all my serums after cause i was scared lol.

lesson learned. BUY FROM OFFICIAL STORES/WEBSITES stop being a money saving freak or else you’ll cost yourself more :D

First time meeting

You cant remember your first time meeting. Not because of your own foggy memory but because Seungmin’s been in your life since you could first remember it. Your moms were best friends and couldn’t believe that their children would be born around the same time. Seungmin was born 5 months before you. Although you weren’t much different in age, it was obvious who was older and who was younger. Even at the age of 6, Seungmin came off as mature for his age while you still cried over your brother accidentally breaking the toy that you got for Christmas.

It might not have been your first meeting but it was one of your first memories of him. After realizing that it wasn’t possible to fix your new toy back together, tears started pouring down your face as you wailed to your dad. Your brother—god bless him—had tried everything to fix it and apologized countless of times but even that wasn’t enough to calm down the storm inside of you.

A few hours after that, you were sitting by your front porch— eyes still puffy from all the crying— when you felt a nudge on your shoulder. You looked up to see Seungmin holding a strawberry popsicle towards you, one already in his mouth.

“I heard you all the way from my house,” he said as he sat down besides you. “Don’t worry, I asked my mom to get my piggy bank so you can get a new one.” he assured you with a small smile.

You didn’t say anything then but all of a sudden you didn’t feel so sad anymore. Of course the money in his piggy bank wasn’t enough to pay even a fraction of the toy’s price but it’s the thought that counts right?

First fight

You’ve been talking to Jake for a few months by now, you were pretty sure that he was the one. Seungmin on the other hand was pretty sure that he was miles away from being perfect for you. But like most talking stages nowadays, it wasn’t perfect or real. And you weren’t going to admit it.

“I texted him at 10:09 this morning and he still hasn’t even answered. It’s 9pm now!” you huffed, staring at the text you sent him earlier today. You hoped that if you stared long enough you’d see three grey dots appear out of nowhere.

Seungmin watched from the other side of the couch. Anyone could tell that Jake wasn’t that interested in you and that he probably kept you around for convenience.

“Y/N he’s just not that into you,” Seungmin admitted. He knew it would sting but it was better than letting his own best friend wait for a guy who never even wanted her in the first place. After all, that’s what bestfriends do right? They look out for each other.

“What?” you said as you looked at him speechless.

“You have to be real with yourself. Do you think that a guy would leave you on delivered for a whole day if he liked you? And what about that time when he made you pay for him on your first hangout?” he questioned you.

Maybe it was the way he looked at you or how out of the blue that confrontation was but it hurt.

“What the hell Seungmin. Why would you say that?!” you raised your voice at him.

“You’ve been getting nothing but dry replies from him all week, haven’t you had enough? I’ve watched you check your phone 10 times in the past five minutes just to see if he finally read your text.” he stated.

“When will you stop being so apathetic? You don’t know Jake the way I do. You just don’t like him because he’s everything you’re not.”

The words slipped out of your mouth before you could fully process them. Seungmin’s face dropped as he heard what you said.

“Wait— Min, I didn’t mean… fuck,” you apologized.

Seungmin sat up from your couch and headed for the door. “Forget it Y/N,” he sighed.

“No Min— please… I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say that.” you said as you tried to catch up to him.

“I said forget it!” he shouted.

It seemed as if both of you weren’t thinking straight that night. You didn’t mean to cry, it was just that Seungmin had never raised his voice or shouted at you before. Tears started to pool your eyes as you watched him walk out your door.

First make up + kiss

It had been 2 weeks since that day but somehow it felt like a whole year. Someone who was always by your side, always the one who you’d run to when something good happened, and someone who would always be the first to comfort you when you cried was not around anymore.

“If you’re gonna keep sulking all day you might as well go talk to him,” Chaeryong commented while she mindlessly scrolled on her phone.

“I can’t,”

“You just don’t wanna.”

You rolled your eyes at her comment. “I told him that he wasn’t anything like Jake! How could I be such an asshole to him.” you regretted every word you said.

“Well sitting here regretting what you already said won’t help with anything Y/N, you need to talk to him. You need to apologize.” Chaeryeong said. She was right. You were wrong and you still didn’t apologize. What kind of friend does that.

It was raining when you ended up infront of Seungmin’s door. You knocked, once, twice, until he opened the door. You were soaked in rain since you forgot to carry an umbrella with you. Seungmin looked at you in surprise, half not expecting you to be stupid enough to walk in the rain and half expecting you to not care. He let you in without a word and gave you a towel and his hoodie to change in.

Something about how warm his hoodie smelt made you feel a little less nervous. It was unlike you to admit that you were wrong. You’ve always been stubborn.

“I’m sorry.” you finally apologized, tears rolling down your face again—maybe it was out of guilt, but maybe it was because you were really scared you could lose him for real this time. Seungmin looked at you not knowing what to say but let you continue.

“I’m sorry. I don’t know why I said it but I do know that I never meant any of it. I know you might never forgive me but I can’t live without saying this to you. Min, you’re everything to me. I know I don’t say it much but you really are. You’ve literally been there since day one and still stayed even when you had free will to ditch me. I don’t deserve you, I never have. And I really don’t right now. I’m sorry I treated you like a second choice, like you aren’t my whole world—which you are. I’m really really sorry Min—“ he cut your apology off with a hug. You froze in shock, not expecting him to do anything.

“You’re such an idiot, y’know that?” he chuckled.

“Huh?” you looked up at him.

“It hurt. When you told me I wasn’t anything like Jake. I don’t know why it did, I don’t even like the guy. But maybe it was because he had the one thing I didn’t have.” he admitted.

“What do you mean?” you were puzzled.

“He had your love.” he confessed. Your lips parted but nothing came out.

“You loved him so much and all I could do was watch from afar. I’ve been here for 19 years but some jerk got it in 10 days.” he chuckled again. That was Seungmin for you, he always managed to joke around.

“Min—"

“And I know you don’t feel the same, there’s no way I could fight Jake. I’d literally be mental. But just know that he doesn’t deserve you. You deserve so much more than everything he has to offer—“

You cut him off with a kiss.

Seungmin stumbled back a bit until he could fully process what was going on. He kissed you back slowly but surely. Your first kiss was unexpected but it had been waiting. It’d been waiting ever since that day you cried over your stupid you breaking, ever since he comforted you after your first heart break, ever since all the sleep overs and hang outs you’ve had, ever since your science fair project blew up mid presentation. Ever since he could remember, Seungmin has always loved you.
