we're going to be evicted / extremely time sensitive

I never wanted to make another post like this again. I had hoped I would be relatively comfortable by now, but um, you know, man makes plans and capitalism crushes him. Me and my family have tried so, so hard to make things work, but we can't. all four of us are physically disabled and suffering from various forms of mental illness; my dad hasn't been able to work a contracting job in months because of his knee and his back. my mother, who is diabetic, has suffered TIAs from the stress of her job which is paying her below minimum wage. Of course, I have my check to look forward to but a check at the end of the month does not help us when we've been served eviction papers.

i'll post the letter here, but basically we owe $3,184 and if we don't pay by Tuesday, October 22, 2024, we will have 30 days to leave our house.I don't know about you, but I cannot stomach or handle the concept of being homeless for a third time. I cannot do it, I cannot ask my parents to do it, or my younger sister. I really just can't. So, if there's anything that anyone can do for us, I am begging you, hands and knees begging, for someone to help us.

As an active fan of both properties who has put way too many hours of analyzing both of these men for fanfic reasons, I'm going to lobby for Shen Wei. Granted, "best" could have a lot of interpretations, but Jack is a mess (an intriguing one, to be sure, but still a bit of a garbage bag), is largely unrepentant about his issues, and -- most importantly -- doesn't learn from his mistakes (I've written volumes of meta on this). Shen Wei is flawed but shows definite constructive growth, and his biggest flaws are largely being a good boi gone too far (such as his sacrificial nature leading to a straight-up lack of self-preservation).

In one of the episodes it turned out that the Atlantis crew only survived their first day on Atlantis because Dr. Weir in the bad timeline went back in time to when the previous habitants of Atlantis were still living and she spent 10000 years in stasis, coming out of it every 3300 years to preserve energy in the generators so when the current timeline Atlantis crew arrives the city's shield will keep the water out until the city comes to the surface from the bottom of the ocean.

Pharaoh Atem / Yami Yugi:

He was sealed away after sacrificing himself at sixteen to save the world, and was "asleep" for 3,000-5,000 years. He woke up so insane that he murdered a bunch of people, but he learned to get past this through the power of friendship. After he woke up, he was still only half a person and shared a body with a teenager for years before finally going home to rest, arguably against his will. Therefore, he spent 20 years tops awake and alive out of the 3-5,000 he's been on earth, and he deserves to win because he never catches a break.

Hello! Sorry that I didn't answer these asks for a few days, I forgot. I'm not taking any more submissions, especially for the finals. This tournament works like this:

I took submissions before round 1.

Out of those submissions, I created round 1.

Round 2 is determined from the winners of round 1, round 3 of the winners of round 2, and so on and so forth until the finals.

He learns a lot in his time from hibernating and when he wakes up from hibernating. He's a sweet boy and has great leadership skills. He's also an idiot (affectionate)

(Spoilers ahead) He is a catboy who is your (as in the player character's) biggest fan. He's a nerd and a geek. He tried to pretend to be evil but failed miserably because he's a terrible liar and also such a good boy. Most of his plans involve self-sacrifice. He decided to put himself to sleep as the guardian of a magical tower, to be woken up from stasis one day in the far future. Anyways then he ended up traveling back from that future in order to stop a calamity, became the leader of a society in a land teetering on the edge of an apocalypse, accidentally kidnapped the souls of some of the player character's allies, and eventually ends up merging with his original self, waking him up from stasis in the process. Also he's technically royalty. So vote for him!

Bro went to sleep for five years and before that big eepy they made a promise with their students to all meet up five years from then and sure enough. They wake up the day of the reunion and are informed of what day it is and immediately rush to the appointed place. And for some reason although there's a war and shit all of their students come to the reunion anyway (despite it being extremely difficult for some of them with them having to literally sneak out of their territories in some routes) because they were just that cool and good of a teacher. Their sleeping also is the catalyst for the timeskip and I absolutely love timeskips. The FE3H timeskip in particular is very moving to me because of the tertiary theme of the game being growing up/the unstoppable march of time. I played the game right before entering high school and then another time before graduating high school (and I plan to play it again, as I graduate college) and let me just say it hit extremely hard. We view the change in the world through Byleth's eyes and then later come to see it through the eyes of the students in their monastery quotes and in the story. Their sleeping is the perfect way to do a timeskip and it makes the reunion with the students hit so much harder because it conveys how both so much and so little time has passed. So little time for Byleth, but enough time for the students for them to grow and mature and change in many ways (it got me thinking about how different I am as a person now than on my first playthrough) Also play FE3H during a transitional period in your life it WILL hit hard.
