Once upon a time, possibly, Yangshuo was a little town surrounded by superb scenery. The scenery is still there, but the little town has been replaced by a loud, aggressive, mercantile tourist hub, mostly aimed at locals. The kitsch, the bad food, the blaring music! I loved it!
