This is a post for gay men.

There’s not a lot of positivity for gay guys, comparatively; what there is will often be directed at ‘boys’. And these posts are amazing! They’re absolutely right - boys are wonderful. But so are men. Gay men shouldn’t have to be reduced to ‘boys’ to be loved. Yes, we are soft and delicate and tender, but we are also strong and raw and steadfast.

We are a community of so many different people and every single one of us is just as much a gay man as the others. We’re more than the soft boys people think of us, and what we are is revolutionary. Gay boys and gay men are incredible. The queer community celebrates manhood too, and you belong.

We belong.

What the hell are you talking about gay panic being legal defense for killing gay people? It's a term gay people use when they are panicking over feelings for someone, something we like to experience because media usually perpetuates same-sex attraction as predatory but we are usually the same as straight people in terms of just a crush and wanting to hold their hand and all that.

it’s really telling when my sex positivity posts don’t receive the same amount of attention than the sappy yearning ones, tired of the uncomfortability with mlm sexuality in the mlm community, especially trans mlm and poc mlm sexuality. it’s like that part isn’t as consumable and romanticized for the larger portion of the community.
