I miss them, I miss what they were and what they could have been

The first official outing of the couple Wanda and Vision (or as they were simply later dubbed by the press "the Wandision") was one summer evening, during one of the events obviously organized by Stark Industries.

The Avengers press office had been planning this for days, every idea had been sifted and scrutinized, from getting a few stolen photos out in any tabloid to doing an official interview.

"Oh my god, we're Avengers, okay being public figures.... But we're not the British royal family," Wanda exclaimed exhausted.

"But is all this really necessary?" Vision asked, dropping into the chair next to her "Couldn't we just ... I don't know ... show up one day hand in hand and let everyone draw their own conclusions?"

Wanda smiled at him "So gallant.... Lucky the one who marries you... Are you single?"

"So what? You want me to say something to her? I can't fire a competent person from a project because..."

"For heaven's sake I don't mean that, that would be terrible it's just that ..."

"Wanda ... Listen to me, if I have somehow done anything that has led you to think for even a split second that I might want someone in this universe other than you then I apologize."

"No Vizh you are amazing, always, and perfect ... And I am definitely not perfect."

"To me you are perfect... And the fact that you are jealous is definitely pleasing me a little too much"

"Of course I'm jealous"

"Well then stop unnecessary paranoia and show me how much I'm yours, and I'll show you how perfect I think you are..."

"What a silly idea to pause all this"

"That's right... You should definitely make it up to me."

"Thank you for letting me try."

"I just asked the captain if he could let us leave the plane to teach you" he laughed giving her a kiss on the neck "It's training"

"Well... so are you training me?"

"I admit you are an extremely ...receptive student.... Press that button on the left please"

"If you ask so nicely..."

"Would you prefer me to order to you?"

"Maybe..."

Meanwhile at the compound

"Oh lord, Nat, I knew I should have told him no"

"Why? It's an innocent thing Steve, they're just flying around ..they're cute .."

"Wanda, you won't lose me.... But I have to go, to preserve your safety.... I can't stay here, they would find you, and I won't let them take you back to the Raft again, ever."

"There must be another way."

"Look at me Wanda... I'll come back... And sooner or later we will find another way...I promise."

"Okay, I know you would like the classic American house, white picket fence, good neighborhood, probably in a small town near New York City, because then it will be easy for us to work..."

"Yes, isn't that what you would want too?"

"Of course, I want it as much as you do though.... Here ... you see we have put away a fair amount of money.."

"You did Vizh.."

"Yes, but I already told you to get used to the idea that that money is yours too .. and what I wanted to tell you is .. that I would like us to get a holiday house ... On the beach."

Wanda laughed "Vizh we don't even have a house-house.."

"Yes but...Now that we are here I realize how much I enjoy this.... It would be nice to have a place of our own here, a haven to escape to, a place to come and unplug, where we will teach the children to swim and take long walks..."

"I love your idea, I love that you are planning so big, and I want the holiday house... huge, with at least 4 bedrooms.. since we have a fair amount of money..."

"The advantages of being made of Vibranium, my love... You can't infect me... And you don't suck...you could never... even with the plague ... You would be pretty even then."

"I don't trust when you tell me these things ... You would love me even if I were a zombie"

"Oh of course I would love you, I would take care of you and give you many mushy human brains to eat ... You would be the prettiest zombie in the zombie history... But fortunately you just have a cold"

Vision closed the book abruptly and turned back to Wanda

"Thank goodness" he burst out laughing "I hated it from the second page, I thought you'd never say that"

"And why didn't you say anything?"

"You weren't saying anything, I thought you liked it!"

"I don't think anyone could like it"

"Good thing, I was beginning to doubt your judgement, your taste.. it would have sent me into a crisis to doubt that... since you like me"

"Ah and who told you that?"

"You, precisely, have made appreciations... 73 times..."

"Are you keeping count?" Said Wanda pretending to be shocked

"I keep track of everything."

"You also keep count of ..."

"Well considering we've only been dating a short while..."

"Yes we are indeed quite active" Vision said with a hint of pride "But I mean ..." He lifted Wanda off the couch taking her in his arms

"Yeah, we can always do better"

Wanda smiled "You know you're really sexy when you take the initiative?"
