Swipe to take a peek at a before/after our latest collaboration with @theartifacthouse ! with a little bit of experimenting we were able to directly transfer our silkscreen prints right onto clay. Nicole is a magician I swear, how lovely are these trays? I love the print placements and glazes she chose. Palicella schizochromatica

We can’t all be loud. We can’t all stand to stand out. Some of us are quiet, obscure, unobtrusive. Like P. schizochromatica. We exist in the margins and are hardly noticed. But there is nothing wrong with that. In fact it is good. Because guess what–the margins and fringes and quite spaces are still SPACE. And you, like P. schizochomatica, deserve to take up space just the same as everyone else. What I love about lichens is their persistence, their diversity, their perseverance, and how they are quietly everywhere, fixing nitrogen, converting Co2 into O2, filling every quiet corner of this world like life, with existence, with SOMETHING. And there is beauty in that, even for the smallest, plainest lichens out there.
