all i want is an 80's vintage americana trailer park summer. i wanna drive my dad's truck with my friends to the 7/11, get slushies, and go to the community pool and meet some cute boys. i wanna have a summer romance that ends when the school year starts. i wanna spend my nights in my friend's basement where we play all her old boardgames in a blanket fort. i want us all to look up things we'd get in trouble for on the family computer. i wanna go to small convenience stores and flower shops and go to the town mall to get cute new outfits with our summer allowance. i wanna listen to pop music with all the windows down while we drive wherever. i wanna spend fourth of july in my backyard with my friends and family, drink lemonade and dance through the sprinklers, and spell my name with a sparkler. i wanna go to the state fair, eat too much food and get nauseous on the rickety roller coaster that i really shouldn't trust. i wanna go get my photos printed off my digital camera. i wanna be sad that my summer is ending, nervous and excited for the new school year. anything but this.
