Briefly musing on the abrahamic idea of humans being "Designed" as the "Image of God". Christians and other Abrahamics tend to either settle on God's appearance being ineffable or they interpret these concepts as indicating God is basically... just a guy.
These are both incredibly boring to me, I can do better. This train of thought will assume you've either watched content by a creator called Tibees on 2D creatures, have dwelled on similar concepts independently or both (as is my case)
OK so, what does it mean for *us* to design something in our image? Think about like, Mario, in the context of a truly 2D world. In a 2D world, what we imagine as Mario's "skin" or exterior is categorically incorrect. Everything we see on his "front" is actually inside of him, his border/outline is his skin. That is all a 2D creature would see looking directly at him. Everything we can see from an external 3D perspective are his "innards".
You might be wondering where I'm going with this. Well!
Mario is a 2D creature (in the 2D games at least) designed in *our* image to be viewed as similar to us from a 3D perspective. We see his innards in a fully non linear way (from a 2D perspective) and perceive that as his form, the design that is informed by our image. His true exterior/skin is something we barely perceive, simply a border. An outline.
Assume for a moment that God is a 4D being. Assume he created us "in his image" in the same manner that we created Mario. He views us from a 4D vantage point, and perceives our skin as just an outline, barely designed at all. It was an afterthought to store and structure the true design, which is our internal anatomy.
That internal space, spread across a 3D surface is the "Image of God" when perceived from a 4D perspective.
What the fuck does that mean?
Well, if that is the way in which we are "The Image of God" (in the same manner that Mario is an Image of a human represented in 2D form) that implies a great deal about what God would technically "look like". We can't comprehend 4D forms except through very limited mental shortcuts, so imagining the totality of God through this lens is impossible.
But, even imagining an infinitesimal slice of God (think like with an MRI, but 3D slices instead of 2D), you should essentially be imagining an essentially infinite meatscape, resembling our internal structure in an abstract manner with a similar ratio of detail as that which exists between Mario and an actual human being. An endless, collosal biological machine of machines of incomprehensible scale.
So yeah, us being created in the "Image of God" gets freaky the more abstract and literal you take the idea.
#yes i know canonically mario exists in a 3d space that is simply rendered as a 2d space for design purposes but mario canon is not relevant#mario#the image of god#abrahamic literalism#theology#4d#tibees

If I could leverage the Powers of the Gods to force the movie industry to do something I would make Wes Anderson do horror. Its one of those cases where like, I know it's outside of his wheelhouse. But I'm so curious how he would end up approaching it. Extra points for Lovecraftian horror specifically.

It actually explains a great deal if Elon Musk is RFK Jr's main point of contact with autistic people. He probably thinks we're all like that because Musk is the only autistic guy he's ever knowingly met.

Do not vote if you’re not going to reblog!
Samer just posted an update to his gofundme! Please read it, especially if you’ve donated to his gofundme before
“Dear friends, I’ve been absent for some time, and I deeply appreciate your patience and support. The truth is, the past few months have been unimaginably difficult. Due to the severe starvation crisis in Gaza, our focus shifted from seeking medical treatment for Yousef to simply trying to survive. With Israel closing the borders and blocking essential aid, food and water became nearly impossible to find. Tragically, many children lost their lives due to this man-made famine. Thanks to your donations, we managed to buy food at prices that would be considered luxury in places like New York. Your generosity literally kept us alive. Now, we are finally back and ready to continue our fight to get Yousef the treatment he so desperately needs. Please help us keep this campaign alive. Share the link with your friends, spread the word, and be Yousef’s hero. Every shares and donation brings us one step closer to saving his life. With gratitude, Samer”
Please donate to Samer and Deema’s fundraiser if you haven’t already!

Samer and Deema’s campaign has been verified by Gazavetters. You’ll find their campaign on line 154 in the google doc. Their campaign was also verified by 90-ghost (this art was made by my friend who also made drew art for Tamer’s campaign!)

The recent trend of Millenials trying to shift the blame for the recent right wing/neoconservative/fascist push entirely onto Gen Z is really starting to PMO a bit.
Am I denying that this has happened to Gen Z? No, I would just like to point out that it happened to Millenials just as much. Statistically speaking 1% *more* American Millenials voted for Trump than Gen Z did. Statistically speaking we are actually still more progressive than you, if by a very thin margin.
Also, remind me, what generation is Andrew Tate in again? What about Charlie Kirk? Yeah, I'm afraid the call is coming from inside the house.
Gen Z and Millenials were both locked in a room for months/years a while back if yall will recall, and for Gen Z some of us were still kids when that happened. And while locked in that room we were all fed propaganda designed to make as many of us turn fascist as possible.
AND. IT. WAS. MADE. BY. FUCKING. MILLENIALS.
This is not a "Millenials Bad" post some of my closest friends are millenial now, imo yall are a pretty cool generation. But if you continue to project all of our shared problems entirely onto us when some of them literally came out of your generation it's gonna cause problems.
Maybe as generations we should both take accountability for our part in the current issues? Or would you rather just take your generational turn throwing younger people under the bus.

I am so serious when I say that now is the time to take your activism offline. I am not spending the next four years squabbling on social media or getting woke points by reblogging posts that my followers already agree with. There are real places in your offline community where you can do good if you seek them out

Wild to sometimes remember that I was alive when the population of Earth was 6 billion. Like, that is stated as the population in several RTD era Doctor Who episodes from my childhood, and now it's 8 billion. There's 2 billion more people alive on the planet now than there were when I was born. Soon to be 3 billion.
Truly what the fuck. There are so many of us. So many more since I was born.
